Glycemic Index??
Does anyone take into account the glycemic index of the carbohydrates they are eating? I always knew about it but I was pretty amazed at what the numbers were. Actually, I'm sort of confused. I thought fruit would be high on the glycemic index because of being loaded with sugar, but it only scored like a 38 out of 100. I've read that fat loss is best achieved with foods under 50, which leaves out foods like baked potatos (85), yams (51), and rice (55), but includes foods like apples, grapes (46), and milk (32). I just didn't expect this.

Fruit is low because it contains fructose which is metabolized by the body differently.
Anyhow, glycemic index becomes less important in a fed state and in a mixed meal. Read up on how GI is measured and you'll see why.
Read this too -> Elements Challenging the Validity of the Glycemic Index
This sums it up : "Carb foods are better judged on the basis of degree processing, refinement, or alteration/removal of micronutrition -- NOT on the basis of GI, or even GL."

As long as the active agent is "unknown" some dork is still gonna be poppin' chicken beaks so he can freakin' squat!
Crank up those catecholamines, that's not chicken I smell being cooked.

I don't take GI into consideration.
