    * People complain and call people militant atheists for asking him religious questions
    * OP uses the "I'm not religious - I have a personal relationship with Jesus" line
    * When asked how exactly his belief in Christ was anything more than a placebo affect, he refuses to answer and says I'm the one with the agenda.

Yeah, the guy who wanted to talk about Christ getting him off of drugs doesn't have an agenda - it's the guy asking him to back it up.

That threads a joke, posters complaining when fellow posters ask for the details of how OP's religious beliefs can be credited for giving up his addiction. Why the hell did OP include it in the title if he did not what questions on it? Attention whore backfire!

Rarely find it relevant to post sinfest comics here but I quite liked this one:

I don't believe the propositions of any religion because I haven't been given sufficient reason to believe.

I will attempt to dissuade people of their religious convictions because I believe religion to have, in balance, a negative effect on humanity. This includes moderate faith.

In these things I'm fairly typical of the atheists on this board, though any comments I make are my opinion only.

dude really had to poo. i've been there. but apparently either

    1. she had a really small toilet, because if you sit really far back (then again he won't sit down rofl) you can fit your dick into the bowl...and I have a 7+ inch dick. it's not that hard.

    2. he just couldn't stand the idea of putting toilet paper on the bowl...that's what I do. but malodrax is a huge germophobe.

In retrospect he should of pissed and shat in the bath but picked the pooh up with toilet roll and chucked it into the toilet. Trying to dissolve the pooh with the shower was such an amateur and beta move.

Thats basically what I did last time I was in a similar situation.

hey, neon or riptor (or anyone who knows science well): what is the taxonomical implication of cross-species breeding...ie: mule's, ligers, setc.

Is there something specifically you want to know about it or just in general? Usually they have to be related relatively closely for the offspring to be viable. Also in order for the offspring of the mix to be able to reproduce they must share the same number of chromosomes and their genetic make up has to be fairly close; however I think this happens extremely rarely.

yeah, but horses and donkeys have different numbers of chromosomes...and they're different species...I thought that the process of speciation specifically finished when the two groups could no longer reproduce together? also, ligers are fking huge.

I think its usually defined as their offspring being able to reproduce. But there isn't really a good definition of where one species ends and another begins though because of evolution producing gradual change. A ring species would be a good example of this.

Breeding can occur across species, but not across genus. Hybrids are typically sterile.

It's a scan of Darwin's notebook. It was his thoughts on evolution before he put it in the origin of species. When he started putting all the pieces together.

    That's awesome!

I'm going to get the word "ethology" in Greek going down my spine at the base. Not quite atheist warrior material, but being free of the concept of god sure does help me study it from a logical standpoint.

So this morning I had a nosebleed mid coitus and had to stop. I'm now in a bad mood and am prowling climate change threads looking for denialists to neg

Edit: Got 4 of them but am now on recharge.

Edit 2: These threads are making me think of a line from BSG "You said that humanity never asked itself why it deserved to survive. Maybe you don't."
