Flaxseed oil help please

I've been trying to incorporate flaxseed oil in my diet but cannot figure out how much calories it will add to my diet. I know that each gram of fat has approx 9 calories? and that a universal tablespoon is approx 7.25 grams?? so a tablespoon of flaxseed oil will give me approx 65 calories?

The pack says that it contains 330kj(78 calories) per 10mL, how do you guys measure your flax oil? should I invest in a measuring tool or trust in the tablespoon?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Are you buying bulk oil? Capsules are easier, but I strongly suggest buying flax seed whole and grinding it up. You retain the natural fibers, not to mention the oddball rumors that refined flax seed oil might cause cancer? Sounds weird, but why risk is and why not just go for the whole seed, right?

If you use the whole seed, just use a measuring spoon. And FYI, if you continue to use oil, you could always convert the ml to something useable. http://www.convertunits.com/from/ml/to/oz

yep, bulk flax seeds ground up and put into almost everything.

they r absolutely, unbelievably cheap. and better for u than the oil.

My flaxseed oil from the vitamin shoppe has per tbsp- 120 calories, 13 g fat, 0 protien, 0 carbs. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I think ill go get some whole flaxseeds today. Also is LSA(Linseed, sunflower seed,blanched almond meal) meal the same thing as ground flaxseed?
