    That depends.

Will it positively contribute to your macros and caloric goals?

    Do you like the taste?

If so, then it's up to you if you want to eat these two food items.

The name of a particular type of food doesn't mean it's healthy. The amount of said food you consume in relation to your caloric requirements is what's important. Assuming you're referring to body composition.

It's nutrient sparse, that doesn't mean it's bad to eat. Why? Because individual foods are not "healthy" or "unhealthy" sans dose (how much you eat) and context (the total composition of your entire diet).

To start learning the basics about nutrition, please read the relevant stickies at the top of the nutrition forum, returning here with any questions that remain.

Go for the brown rice since you're (supposed to be) cutting. Evaluate the amount of calories/carbs/protein/fat/fiber you need on a daily basis and add it to your macro.

Why would brown rice make any difference?

OP: Please ignore this utter nonsense.

Eat whatever rice you prefer or no rice at all. It simply does not matter sans dose and context of your entire diet.

I suggest you review the stickies at the top of the forum to gain a basic knowledge on nutrition.
    - Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.
