I grew up playing basketball with Kobe (serious)(no reason to lie on the internet)
He went to my High School Alma Mater and lived down the street from me.

No. But I do have a Lower Merion jersey and a basketball signed #33 out of High School
AND, we retired his jersey when I was a sophomore and he came back with Rick Fox and Shaq and the entire BBall got to meet them both.
MY senior year we won States and he flew everyone down to Florida.
EDIT; Forgot this:

The SA/Phx series is arguably the championship already. I wound up watching a whole lot more NBA than I intended yesterday and it's still an incredibly boring game next to the NCAA tournament or NCAA basketball overall...

Celtics take on the Hawks... should be a close series ahead
I too am excited for the Lakers but I really hope the Celts can bring it home this year. Then again, the Sox are defending champs and the Bruins are holding out, who knows...

San Antonio in 6...PHX's thorn in the side is Shaq. In the East, I want to say Boston, but Detroit always turns it up a notch in the playoffs.

I couldnt believe that, I really don't see another game where Reggie Evans will do well though, the 3 yrs with the Nuggets he was terrible. I was happy for Andre Miller though, he was pretty popular here in Denver with most fans.

It's really been a dream come true this year for Boston sports all around... even the college teams are coming up huge! Hell even our MLS and MLL teams got to their respective league championships too!
... and some drunk lady hit Sandra Bullock and her husband in their SUV the other night in Gloucester ... go figure - drunk Irish people.

Damn, the Celtics sure played better than Detroit did today. I could see them beating Detroit, but could see it going either (if that ends up being the Conference Final as most ppl think) way with all the playoff experience Detroit has.

I don't think it will be close at all to be honest. Celtics haven't had to play all out this whole season, they are the most rested team in the NBA. I don't see much of a challenge until the Championship
They are too strong overall and their defense is the best in the league.
Hawks starters shot 21-59 .. I know its the Hawks, but that is bad.
And to everyone out there who thinks Chauncey will dominate the Celts, Rondo specifically, he should worry about Dre Miller and how he torched them tonight.

Yea, the Eastern Conference being terrible did make for an overly easy regular season (being able to rest a lot more than if you were say the Spurs, who I would say is talent wise comparable to the celtics), I hadnt thought of that.
Watching the two teams this year live, the Pistons gave a lot more trouble to the Nuggets than the Celtics did (in these particular instances), but I dont watch enough games on tv to know how the celtics and pistons have played against each other this yr).
Tha was a sick performance by Andre, I miss having him but our new pg AC plays a more up tempo pace.
EDIT: I couldnt believe the Nuggets didnt win game 1, they are usual good for winning game 1 or 2, then folding and loosing the series. Hoping we can pull out a few wins in this series.

I understand the argument about the Pistons being well-experienced... but the Boston team this year is an unreal blend of aged talent, up and coming youngsters, and talented specific-role bench players... everyone contributes. I'd love to see Celtics-Pistons and then Celtics-Lakers for old time's sakes (well really before my time- but you get the point).
I grew up for 20 years in N. Andover btw, live just across the border in crummy NH now but work here in Boston.
