Supplements to repair rotator cuff at fastest rate

Ok, my father is receiving rotator cuff surgery and he plays the senior tennis for over 50's and is a national player. He wants to know the quickest way to repair his rotator cuff. SO basically i come to all of you to ask about supplementation.

He is going to be doing physical therapy hard core, but wants to supplement to save some time.

Currently we bought some Glucosamine chondroitin as it is proven to cut the recovery time by up to 20%. Any help to improve and repair this would be fantastic. Thanks for your help.

Which supplements are best for repairing/creating tendons?
Which supplements are best for repairing/creating muscle?

Which supplements are best for this entire injury?

i wouldnt know exactly, but look into Nitrous Oxide supplements... i know the injured guys on our team get N.O. because its supposed to help with blood flow around the injured area which would help speed recovery. Its somewhere to start i think

Rest/Rehab are the best things for him right now.

As far as supplements go, I would consider a Cissus product, Fish Oil, and Bone Boost from SAN.

    Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin, Hyaluronic Acid

    those are the bare essentials

Animal Flex might work better than plain Glucosamine/Chondroitin MSM. No way to know for sure, but it wouldn't hurt to try. And a good multi of course.

^^^^^ Rest is critical in these situations to aid the joint to repair itself. A Cissus product and G,C and MSM product would help with the pain and possible aid in the repair. But working a rotator cuff injury without adequate rest and recuperation could make the worse and weaken it.
Once adequate rest is given then slowley start to work the joint even if no pain is felt do this slowley so not to take a backward step.

Getting an ultrasonic device similar to what therapy centers use might be a good idea along with cissus. You can now purchase them on the internet.

Supplements aren't miracle pills. The best treatment post surgery is rest and physical therapy. Just like any damaged muscle/ligament/tendon... rest is imperative & physical therapy (varying from low grade to high intensity - dependent upon injury type and time that has passed since POI).

As far as glucousamine.... that's a supplement for your joints.

your rotator cuff... last time I checked in an anatomy book is comprised of 4 muscles working in unison

Glucosamine/Chondroitin helps strengthen cartilage and tendons which connect muscle to bone and in turn helps joint strength and stability.

The Cissus sounds promising but I have no experience with it.

Best of luck to your dad iambt21.

Tendons connect muscle to bone. Ligaments.. bone to bone.

Glucosamine is a glycosylated proteins and lipids. A type of glucosamine forms chitin... beneficial as a precursor for glycosaminoglycans/glycosaminoglycans which are a major component of joint cartilage... supplemental glucosamine may help to rebuild cartilage and treat arthritis.

Nothing to do with the Rotator Cuff (Subscapularis, teres minor, infraspinatus and supraspinatus muscles)

So I say again... rest, a non-steroidal anti inflammatory if prescribed from a physician and post-surgical rehab which will include physical therapy to ensure adequate usage and strengthening.

That was a given from square one and nobody questioned that. Reread the original poster's question.

There isn't a single supplement that will speed up a rotator cuff repair any more than ice, ibuprofen (or Rx anti-inflammatory) and REST.

If you take any of that other garbage that is being recommended here (Animal Flex???? For a rotator cuff injury???) I have some swampland to sell you down in Florida for dirt cheap.

USPLabs SuperCissus RX would definitely help. Here is a review thread with hundreds of positive reviews that show how it repairs ligaments, tendons, joints, etc.

ALOT of fish oils, acts like a anit inflamatory and lubes the joints among other many benefits.
I wouldnt get many supps outside that and joint support ones because if he gets to strong to fast he will end up hurting himself because the area isnt heal fully yet and its human nature to think we are healed because we are stronger but you have to be patient and control yourself, strength doesnt dictate if your healed all the way...

Both the original and the SuperCissus RX by USPLabs. Normal dosing, any higher and the joint and pain relief effects were negated.

And if someone wanted to go black market, would a combination of rest/rehab and HGH/IGF-3 be beneficial?

If there's been no research, I wonder why not?

Are you serious? Actually, anti-inflammatories have been proven to hinder muscle growth. So, i think you are telling me exactly what is right. However, i may be wrong.
