First Impressions 10 out of 10

Aesthetics
I realize that to most of us, the way that the product appears doesn't matter; its what's inside the tub that counts! However, should ON care about my opinion on how the product looks, here it is: I think the packaging looks very appealing. I think the blue label on the black container looks very professional, and the information is organized in a very easy to understand way. I could right away see what ON's pitch is with Nitrocore24; 10 proteins, thus a staggered rate of digestion of the proteins and a more diverse amino acid profile. Great stuff!

I also loved that when I opened the tub up that it was filled to the top. I hate buying a container of anything, only to find when I open it up that it is only half full.

The Protein Powder Itself
Upon cracking the lid I was delighted with the smell that came pouring out into the room. People sitting around me actually turned around and asked what smelled so good. Nobody could believe that it was a protein powder, as it smelled like freshly baked cinnamon rolls coming from the oven. At this point I was thinking "I think I am going to like this... hehehe."

The powder is off-white in color and has no clumps. The scoop is larger than most I have seen, 47 grams, and I liked the fact each tub has 58 servings.

I am impressed with the "all business," no fillers approach Optimum Nutrition has taken with this product.

Any Bad Stuff?
Doctors say "First do no harm," right? I expect the same thing from my supplements. While scanning through the ingredients, I didnt find anything that bothered me. I am appalled by the number of so-called nutritional and "health" supplments that are packing things like High Fructose Corn Syrup and hydrogenated oils. Nitrocorp24 doesnt have anything that I find objectionable or problematic.

Good Stuff
Nutritional Breakdown: Each serving has 10 types of protein that create a diverse pool of amino acids to feed your body, and the staggered digestion rate is ideal for those trying to feed their body and stay constantly anabolic, but avoid the need to eat all the time. The fat and fiber content included in the product create a more satiating food that keeps you satisfied longer. Additionally, I appreciated the fact that this product did not contain many carbs, as I can use it during cutting periods as well as when I am trying to bulk. If I want to add carbs, I can throw in some oat or brown rice powder, but I am glad to have it arrive as it does, so I have the option.

Lastly, I really appreciate the fact that there are a full 35mg of Aminogen enzymes to help digest the food. With all the food bodybuilders consume, it can be quite taxing on our bodies when we dont have the proper enzymes to aid in digestion.

ON didn't miss any details when coming up with this product -great job; a full 10 out of 10 for ingredients in my book!

Smell, Mixability, & Taste

Sensational Cinnamon Roll

Smell:
As I stated above, the first time I opened the tub it was in the office, and people started finding their way over to my desk because the smell came pouring out and filled the room. The smell is exactly that of fresh baked cinnamon rolls coming out of the oven. It really does get the drool flowing!!!

Mixability:
I fished the scoop from the inside of the tub and mixed a full scope with 8 ounces of water in my shaker bottle. I wasnt sure how the protein would mix, as some proteins mix better than others, and Nitrocore24 has just about every protein out there included in every serving. After shaking the bottle briskly for about 5 seconds, I stopped and examined the shaker. There were several little clumps, which I imagine were some of the caseinate proteins or the egg albumen, which dont always mix quite as well. I shook it again for another 5 seconds, and it was then completely blended. I let it sit for a couple minutes to see if any separation or settling occured, but it remained blended. A simple whey isolate protein product would always mix easier than a product like Nitrocore24 that contains such a mix, so you cant really compare apples to oranges in that respect. For what it is, the mixability for this product is excellant, and compared generally to any product, it still would rate very highly. 9 out of 10

Flavor:
I had high expectations for the taste after enjoying the delicious smell during preparation. I was not disappointed, and found the taste to be quite delicious. I dont care for overly sweet supplements, and my biggest complaint with most supplments is that they overdue it with the sweetner. The cinnamon roll flavoring was great; very flavorful, perfect sweetness, and no nasty tastes that sometimes slip through from certain ingredients. Lastly there was no aftertaste to speak of, which is always a good thing. Taste: 10 out of 10.

Nice... the water test. I have yet to try that. Good review thus far and now I'm looking forward to the water test. I know with 100% Gold Standard by ON, I hated mixing most of their flavors with water...

I love how this mixes well, tastes great and has a great protein foundation!

Totally agree with you on the taste! It really is a good tasting protein in water. Hell, I was suprised it was as good as it was. Your description on the mixability is how I see it as well .

One of the biggest things I liked about the product is that it was filled to the brim. Great review as well!

This is a great review, man. You make me want to buy a 6 lbs tub even though ON was kind enough to supply me with one to review

I hear there are other Nitro Core 24 flavors out there aside from the toffee and cinnamon roll. I'm interested in finding out if that's true.

Someone posted in my review thread and said they bought a Strawberry NC24 @ GNC, I believe it was.

Hi there... I have been done at Fort Benning for a couple weeks and havent had any internet access. Luckily, however, I have had my my Nitrocore24. Having the sun beat down on you all day long takes quite a bit out of you. I have been burning a lot of calories and my little tupperware servings of Nitrocore have kept me going. I have only been able to hit the gym about 3 times a week, but have been doing morning PT down here regularly. I havent lost any weight and have stayed strong and steady at 203.

I am positive that my Nitrocore24 has helped me hit my daily nutritional needs to keep my muscle mass and perform. Thanks again for letting me try this supplement. I have already had several people I am currently training with order some, and everybody loves it!
