Sports Bras
Hello!
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good supportive sports bra?
I am a natural 30DDD so there is quite a bit of movement vs. implants! The bras I have found either are not supportive enough, not a good fit in the cup with overflow, or they are too tight on my ribcage!
I want to become an active runner but usually break up my cardio with intervals due to my workout being so uncomfortable because of not having a good bra. I have spend hundreds of dollars thinking I would find something, but no luck yet.
Please share your reviews and advice!

I agree 110%. They are the most supportive bra I've found on the market. I've purchased them at Victoria's Secret, so I'm not sure if they can be found elsewhere. One style that I really like has a wider lower band that does not cut into the rib cage at all - actually looks more like a tank. If you'd like - PM me and I'll find you pics of my favorites. They are both Shock Absorber brand though.

Actually the one Im wearing in my pic is amazing...it has under-wires and def squishes my boobs nicely (that sounds weird, but I have extremely cystic breasts so I understand the movement thing). Im not sure of the brand but I got them at wal-mart for a really decent price :-)

I actually have that bra as well, and I do like it - just not nearly as much as my Shock Absorbers. The best part about it is that was much cheaper! However, and I may be wrong, but I don't think she'll find one big enough to suit her DDD size at Walmart... .

Another shock absorber fan. I have the #4490 in two colors. It has a double fastening at the back that really helps to stop the motion. I wear a 32E and have a few different shock absorber bras but this is my favorite. I also bought one for my girlfriend and she said it is very comfortable and she wears a 32FF. I wear mine for running and don't feel movement.

You might also find some options at the Title 9 Web site:
http://www.titlenine.com/jump.jsp?it...ORY&itemID=676
A rating of three barbells or more is VERY supportive.

sports bra
I wear Enell bras. I have 36DD and have found this bra to keep them in place. They are a little expensive (around $120 each) but I have found them on ebay for $60 for three. Trust me my boobs don't move when I run.

I'm only a 38C.. but maybe they may have some at a Lane Bryant or Cicique (sp). There is a way that they do it where a DDD is really a solid two digit number and single letter... I was told once but forget. They would know how to do that. Then go by that size to start looking. I use Champion from Target and they hold me pretty well and I don't get the uni-boob. Some brands are pretty flimsy so look for seperate cups, padding, good straps, and good elastic in the bands around.

I've never tried it, but some people swear by wearing 2 bras at once, and apparently that works really well. So, an underwired sports bra and then a 'crop top' bra over the over the top.

I'm a bit smaller than you are, with a good C cup, but Nike has a new sportbra that is really great.

Polar has a great supportive bra with a wide band so there is no cutting. You can go onto the Polar Heartrate monitor website and check it out. I also recommend my "bustier" clients check out the athleta website. I receive their catalogs and their sports bras are available in a wide variety of "support".

Ah! Thanks so much for the links ladies. I'm a 34F, and just assumed there was no way a sports bra would ever fit me. I usually just wear one of my normal bras and a cami with a bra shelf.
BTW, I googled ShockAbsorber bras and checked out their website... anyone else get a kick out of the "bounceometer"? My goodness, I was a little surprised when the graphics popped up on that!

Did some research for my wife a few weeks ago here is what we found
http://www.activasports.com/act/products/ATV107/
http://www.herroom.com/Moving-Comfor...-725720,4.html
Front zip seem to be way better than pull over so she says, and those are both for your size
Edit - one of them has a video for a girl with DD or something close to that and they dont move hardly at all

I'm a 36DD as well, and I love my Patagonia zip bra. I find that when I'm hot and sweaty, I can't get the Shock absorbers off without ripping them.
A good website is www.lessbounce.co.uk

Some of the shock absorbers only have a small fastener at each side. The ones I like have regular bra hooks at the back but two sets - one at the bottom and one midway up to the shoulder. These are easier to get into and out of and do a great job of reducing movement.

How much $$ are those Shock Absorbers?
Ever seen them in store or only online?

I'm in Canada and most bras seem to be about double the price of the same thing in the U.S. I bought all of the shock absorbers I have on e-bay brand new with the tags. I usually check on figleaves.com and herroom.com and read the reviews first and then try one out. I usually have paid about $30-40 for each of them including shipping. I think they sell for about $60 in the states and $100 in Canada. Well worth the price even if I had to buy them here.

T K Maxx often seem to have them for around 10 euro or so.
