    HIIT vs. Low Intensity Cardio..

You see the studies, you hear people praise both....the 'fat burning zone', the high/low heart rates, the balls to the wall sprints...well, what is better? In my 100% honest opinion....both.

I always did low intesity (incline walk, jog etc) in order to cut, but then when i play sports (baseball, basketball etc) I feel almost sluggish, so I started HIIT. Well that can really take its toll on you too.

Now I do monday, wednesday and Friday hard cardio. Whether it be a longer harder run followed by a brisk walk or HIIT, it is intense. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday I do about 45 min of 5.5% incline walk at 3.1 mph. I feel better all around doing it this way and the results are great.

Just thought I would pipe in with something that works for me and MAY work well for you too!
Avatar Pic was from Oct 2008. Then gained some weight as all I do is WORK!

Started the 2013 Summer Cut in Decemeber. Was at 201 lbs after some nice gains....

    12/12/12: 201
    1/4/13: 197
    1/31/13: 192
    2/15/13: 188
    2/28/13: 185
    3/15/13: 182

    GOAL is 175 by 4/15/13....

"It never occurs to me that there are things that I can't do."

Failure is not defeat...Defeat is accepting failure as the final outcome...

The real key to success is a combination of both, HiiT and Low intensity. I usually combine them having good success, since they work kind different.

what i found worked best for me was a 45-60min walk every morning, and hiit in the evening 3 or so times a week.

Low intensity cardio is low intensity... theres no reason you cannot walk for an hour every morning.
