Need nutritional advice
OK so I work in the lawn care industry. I do commercial mowing and I walk behind the mowers all day. With online calculators I am looking at an average of at least 2000 calories a day I'm burning just at work.
My problem is that when working in the heat all day my appetite is extremely suppressed. I am trying to lose weight so I'm not trying to eat a ton of food. I am however worried about my nutrition and overall well being.
Right now my diet looks like this.
- Breakfast : Bagel or oatmeal, banana, protein shake
Snack: Half a sandwich, regular sized sandwich 100% whole grain bread
Lunch: 1 sandwich,vegetables or fruit
Snack: Half a sandwich same as above
Dinner: Normally I'll have a steak and potatoes or some chicken and rice always with both vegetables and fruit
Snack: Protein shake and banana or fruit or vegetables
If im counting right it seems like i'm only getting maybe 1000 calories a day give or take a few. What can I add in here to make my day more nutritional? I need things that go down easy since I'm not very hungry after working in the sun all day. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

you are getting much more than 1000cal a day, but you probably need around 5000. 2000 burned through activity, plus over 2000 for your bmr.
are you loosing a lot of weight?
make sure you don't over do it, throw in more calorie dense foods if necessary and try eating more often to squeeze in more calories.

Well I have been at it for a couple weeks but i've had 2 rain days every week where i didn't work. In first week and half I lost 5 pounds maybe 6. Does that seem like too much? What are some high calorie foods that aren't terrible for you? I understand the benefits of eating more meals a day but is there a point to where you can eat too many?

ok so im down 15 pounds in 2 weeks! I'l admit I'm lovin it but i'm not sure how healthy it is. With working in the heat all day I just can't eat any more food. What should I do? Eat higher calorie food? Isn't that just as unhealthy? I'm really confused here and I'm just looking for a little assistance. Considering I just found my post on page 7 after one day I'm wondering if thats gonna happen. Pretty please!!!! Help before i wither away!!!!

What about shakes, they are generally good for calories when you don't feel like eating, and yes 15lbs in 2 weeks is crazily unhealthy!

Thanks for the reply! I do have a shake every morning and also at night. I don't have any way to make them while at work during the day otherwise i would try and squeeze another one in. Maybe I'll try premixing them and then throwing it in a cooler to take with. Thanks for the help. I will put that to use.
