We got all these complicated supps to give us massive pumps and engorge our muscles. I was wondering, does that actually cause you to do less work?
Its like you can achieve those engorged pumps even without these supps, just by working wout really intensely. If by taking them allows me to feel the same pumps quicker and with less work, then isn't that kinda defeating the purpose? You get the killer pumps but since u didn't really 'earn' it per se, its thereby kinda cheating yourself?

I was specifically targeting pump supps...like say supps that always are always marketed and reviews as giving massive pumps or crazy pumps..
IMO when i get a huge pump...i can't go on training much longer...muscle fatigue sets in and its like a rock. I'm just not convinced supps making u arrive at this point faster is a good thing.

bingo..exactly what i'm talking about...i think its interesting to find out if you are building the same amount of muscle both ways.
If you can build and work the same muscle as intensely using the pump supps then YES its great. However, if its giving you the pump without true work to the muscle, then once the pump subsides, ur workout was basically ****.
I mean where is the proof that pump equates to building muscle. Its a good feel for sure but I can definitely tell if my pump was from a supp versus the day i didn't supp and got 'the pump' from hitting the muscle till it died.Last edited by slyc; 04-10-2008 at 02:55 PM.

Exactly...self-defeating. Especially on some bodyparts like forearms and bi's, tri's...i mean really INSANE pumps would kinda render u useless, you'd have to drop so much weight...and makes u feel like whoa what a great workout, I just killed my arms...but did you?
Another thing is, i'm kinda scared to push too far past my huge pumps...afraid i might pop something, u dig?Last edited by slyc; 04-10-2008 at 03:05 PM.
