I couldn't find another one in the search so I assume this hasn't been made yet (my apologies if it has).
I'm playing this season and have a semi-decent team so far. Let this thread be for advice, discussion, criticisms, and general fantasy baseball discussion for this season.

I never really figured it to be a good idea to have that many players on the same team. What if they are going up against Santana or a series with a great pitching staff? I mean, it can help you if they put up 12 runs on one night but what about when they only score 1 or 2? I always thought it was a bad idea I like to have it spread out.
Prince Fielder better start hitting he is pissing me off.

I'm in dead last place in my league despite having probably the most stacked roster out of anybody...Jose Reyes, Texeira, Zimmerman, Granderson (injured of course), Posada, Hudson, Hamels, Francis....those are all my stars but every one of them 'cept Hudson have consistently been playing like yellow ****.

what about this trade guys: I have Geovany Soto and my friend is offering me Kosuke Fukudome. I need outfield help seeing that I have Pence, Andruw Jones, Burrell, and Taveras. Jones and Pence both suck and I could use a solid outfielder. I also have Kurt Suzuki from the A's who is doing well. What do you guys think?

Well this thread didn't really take off as I'd hope (ie failed) but lets start it up again.
Any hidden gem free agent pickups that have worked for you guys? I picked up Kaz Matsui after he came off his injury and he's been stealing bases consistantly for me.
Sadly, I've also read that Jake Peavy is having elbow soreness and will miss a start.Sinners in the hands of an angry Mod.

I'm in fourth place right now but I didn't make drastic changes until last week. That particular league is a little different because they only take hits in general and not doubles and triples like my other league. Plus they take pitcher's losses into consideration. That was working against me a lot until I dumped some bad pitchers and picked up winning pitchers. I see myself crawling up into first place in no time after the changes I've made.

Anybody else sign up for a midseason league? It's awesome because you know who's hot and who's slumping, so while the people that don't show up for the live draft are autopicking Andruw Jones and Robinson Cano, you'll end up with more players that are actually doing well regardless of their yahoo rankings.
I had a draft the other day and ended up with Chipper, Manny, McLouth, Nady, J. Santana, Lincecum, and several others with stats ranked within the top 100.

My best pick-up so far was probably Edison Volquez who I picked up before the season started because I had a feeling he would be decent. He turned out a lot better than I could have hoped for.
I also picked up Kaz because Howie Kendrick has been on the DL forever now and Kaz is filling in nicely. Possibly even better numbers than Howie would put up.What are you on about mate?
