Hoist HF-4985 ENS Half Cage Ensemble. Whats so good about it?
Hey guys,
My friend just bought the Hoist HF-4985 ENS Half Cage Ensemble 1 week ago and he can't stop talking about it.

After looking it up, I only see him paying 3 grand for a squat cage, lat pull down, and bench with preacher/leg attachments basically...
How can any retailer charge that much? What makes it so special?
Can someone please enlighten me?

Look very nice.
Half cage with gunracks, Fid bench, Smith, pec deck lat pulldown, low pully with weight stack, leg curl and preacher pad. I'd like to have somethin that nice but its out of my price range.
Remember for powertec equipment you would be over a thousand easy and still lacking the Smith, preacher pad, and the pec deck also the weight stack.

I looked at the Hoist when i was looking at half cages, and was thoroughly unimpressed. I ended up buying a half cage from Keys Fitness and a bench from Body Solid.

If interested I have this one for sale. I've had if for about years now, and I have to tell you the quality is great. As far as the original price, at the time there wasn't a whole lot of cage systems around. So I think that's why it cost so much.

seems real nice as far as half racks go i guess, but the only real notable is the pec deck otherwise the rest is the norm.

Hoist has been making strength equipment for over 30yrs and makes some of the highest quality home strength equipment out there. The retailer is charging Hoist's MSRP, $3k for that caliber of equipment is pretty much the norm these days. All of Hoist's products for home use are also light commercially warranteed (meaning they are strong enough to go into a multi use facility like an office, apartment complex, trainers studio etc), most other residential manufacturers don't build their equipment this way. Also when you look at what the machine offers (free weight bench/squat/shoulder press as well as smith guided bench/squat/shoulder press, lat/low row stations, pec deck, weight plate storage etc...it's a pretty nice setup.

No offense, but Hoist blows away the quality of Keys and Body Solid.
