Well, as the title says, im sick of Barbell and Dumbell shrugs, i find them really uncomfortable, sore on my neck (hard to explain why) and most importantly i don't get a good feel out of it.
Its not my form, my forms fine i've been told so but it just doesnt seem to be as effective as it once was.
Now to the point, what excersizes do you like to do to hit your traps?
I have a few.

Floor and rack deads
/ThreadYou want to worry bout something? Worry about that damn logbook. Worry about staying uninjured in your quest. Worry about not missing any meals. Worry about somehow someway making yourself the strongest bodybuilder you can become. Im not talking singles here. Im talking 9-15 reps rest paused. A brute. A behemoth. A human forklift. -DC

Yeah i quite like deadlifts.
I like using the delt fly machine. Obviously unlike the shrugs it doesnt concentrate almost soley on the traps but i always work my delts and traps on the same day so its all good.
Im thinking about ditching the shrugs for a while and maybe do deadlifts instead. The only thing i want fat free is my women!

Cleans is great, but not everyone can do them. I am a fan of the "seated DB power clean" (not an olympic power movement at all). I like to do power shrugs as well, but I know that makes your neck uncomfortable.

weighted neck raises.
clean and jerks are great. You don't even need to do alot of weight. When I was just starting to learn to do cleans, I went low with 95lbs total , and the next day after 6 or 7 sets, my traps were so tight and killing me. Far more than when I used to shrug 250lbs for 3 sets(4-6reps) and 200lbs for 3 sets (8-12 reps).
deadlifts hit your traps a ton too.-
