I agree, I'm 5'10" and have a long torso and my abs start popping out the minute I start a diet.
To the OP - I think it's genetic where your body likes to hold fat - mine likes the inner thighs, maybe you are a belly-fat holder. To lean out my legs I have to push and push, it's the last thing to go.
