    Fish oil + Glucosamine

Have been taking a combined fish oil + glucosamine twice daily for about a year now. Have been suffering shoulder bursitis for around 4 months and am thinking of upping my dosage of fish oil + glucosamine. This is the current info of the combined one I'm taking:

Fish Oil: Glucosamine sulfate sodium chloride complexEquiv. to glucosamine sulfate 500 mg 650 mg Fish Oil (natural)Containing omega-3 marine triglycerides 150 mg as:Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) 90 mgDocosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) 60 mg 500

    twice daily.

Anyway, I've found both of them individually (same brand), and they're much higher dosages. This is the fish oil:

Fish Oil: Fish oil (Natural) 1 g (1000 mg) containing omega-3 marine triglycerides 300mg as: Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) 180 mg Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) 120 mg

    This is the glucosamine:

    Glucosamine: Glucosamine hydrochloride 1 g (1000mg)

    Both say 1 - 2 daily.

Long story short, would I be better off taking the individual ones? They're much higher dosages, and should I be taking both twice daily? The fish oil is cheap enough, but the glucosamine is a little more expensive.

19 year old, this is as well as taking a multivitamin daily.

    Thanks

Upping the EPA/DHA content in your diet will help a bit, but not as much as taking something that will target your issues. I used NOW msm+glucosamine and i think it did help some of my shoulder issues, but i switched to Orange Triad multi (has joint complex) and it helped also. I'd simply start by increasing your fish oil supplementation. Say, shoot for 3g a day and see what happens. Don't worry about taking too much, you can supplement much more than 3g and be fine.
