care to explain how something that has no calories and doesn't spike insulin levels leads to weight gain? Let alone equal to large amounts of liquid calories coming from simple sugar? You won't get fat off of diet soda, sorry...... It's no better or worse for you than crystal lite, water and sucralose either way....

Diet soft drinks make me retain water, sweat, and break out. I don't like them for these reasons, but I treat myself to them if I go out to eat. I just don't keep the stuff around the house. They certainly don't make me retain anything except water though.

I am 100% sure, that the chemicals in Diet Soda are horrible for you. If you can get by without drinking it, definitly do it!
With that being said, I am ADDICTED to Diet Snapple Iced Tea, same thing goes the chemicals in it are not so good for you. But if I had to go by with JUST water, I would really go insane.
I drink some V8 Juice in the morning (making sure it's only one serving) it's my only real serving of sugar throughout the day. It's one thing I REALLY look forward to (Blueberry-Pomengranite)- otherwise I stick to water, & Diet Green Tea [Arizone, Snapple]B.S. in Health & Exercise Science / M.S. in Exercise Physiology / (Former) Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
