Oh my god, I'm new to this forum, and already growing tired of seeing "What whey should I take?" threads.
The best kind of whey? The kind you get from eating a hamburger.
If you want a supplement, there are many to choose from. They will all do about as good as the next. Whey Protein Isolate is always good to look for. Not really important. I'd say find the one that you think tastes good and don't mind paying for. that is the best brand of whey protein.

Protein Blend> Whey
I have had the best results on blended proteins.
There is also a study that proves blended proteins build muscle faster and better than 100% whey proteins.
Good protein blends

lean pro matrix
Metrx Mrp and protein plus
Ultra peptide 1.0 and 2.0
eas myoplex

hope this helped.Kevin Windham > Chad Reed

Anyway, just so you know, WHEY is what u get after cheesemaking...it is a DAIRY protein.
IT DOES NOT COME FROM YOUR COW'S FLESH.

lmao...
Well, to answer the question, it all depends.
Whey isolate is the best to take immediately post workout due to its high concentrations of amino acids, and most importantly BCAAs. Casein is the best to take before bed or at breakfast time to keep your amino levels steadily high throughout the day since it is digested slowly.
Egg protein, milk protein, soy protein, and protein from meat are all good anytime proteins.
However, new research is starting to indicate benefits from taking casein post workout and also taking a blend of whey and casein postworkout.Semper Fortis; Non Sibi, Sed Patriae!
