I've ate 5000 calories already today,
I currently take 450 mg.
I thought this stuff was supposed to supress appetite?

nope
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wellbutrin
I used to take zoloft, an SSRI that made me into a tired zombie, possibly lowered my test and thyroid function, ect....
Wellbutrin on the other hand should act as a stimulant in same cases and in most cases supresses appetite.
I must be an exception....
anyone else have similar reactions?

id recommend using something like www.fitday.com to track your food intake. Its a great way to psychologically control your eating by actually seeing what youve ate along with calories carbs proteins and fats.
Also, try consuming some caffeine for its appetite suppressing properties if youre concerned.
Or just go with it, lift like crazy, and get HUGE[]D[][]V[][]D[][]\[] [][]\[] '10

it may have stimulated your appetite, but 5k is still a self control type of deal.
wtf are you doing taking 450? thats sky high.Realize that anyone with an affiliation to a supplement company in their signature has ulterior motives when making recommendations. They're primarily concerned with pushing their products. Not your safety or what's best for you.

Im taking 200mg a day to help me stop smoking after a decade of a pack a day. I have noticed a tendency to eat a lot, however Im also a caloric monster and I hear when you quit smoking you eat everything in sight/gain a bunch of weight... so maybe Im not the best example
Is there a problem with eating a bunch? As long as youre active and its clean it shouldnt be too fattening...IFFI

Let me preface this by saying that I'm a pharmacy student.
Wellbutrin is not an SSRI, it's the only antidepressant in a class of drugs called the aminoketones.
Due to the dosage, I'm going to assume you're on Wellbutrin XL (as opposed to SR or just straight up Wellbutrin)... as someone said that's the maximal dose, so obviously you will probably see more side effects than most people on the drug.
Wellbutrin works by inhibting neural reuptake of dopamine, which is one of the key "reward" neurotransmitters in your body (hence why it's also useful in smoking cessation).
A side effect of Wellbutrin's action (increasing dopamine levels) is that dopamine is also an agonist of your sympathetic nervous system (basically, dopamine can increase your heart rate, digestion rate, etc). This is why many patients on Wellbutrin, something like 30%, experience insomnia. It's also why you're constantly hungry. Higher heart rate = more calories needed by the body.
It's a dose-related event, and you're on the maximal daily dose. If it bothers you, I'd talk to your doctor about switching to a different drug. Other than that, it's a fairly normal side effect.
