Yohimbe Fuel - with Vaseline?!
I bought some Yohimbe Fuel from my local supplement shop this weekend as it was going really cheap (by Twinlabs)
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/tl/yo.html
I was told that they got it in stock because a hardcore Bodybuilder that goes there SWEARS by it. Aparently he splits the capsules and mixes with vaseline and applies to abs pre workout. Like I say, this guy SWEARS by it, says it helps with fat loss and definition.
My questions is - has anyone ever heard of anyone doing this? The guys in the shop can't have been that desperate to sell this by making up some load of crap, surely?
I gotta say though, so far I've searched around a LOT and not seen or heard of anyone doing this. CAN IT BE TRUE?????

I don't know if mixing with Vaseline somehow makes it viable...but topical applications of yohimbe have been around for a while.

That's the thing mate, I was wondering if somehow it DID make it a viable option. I'm almost tempted to give it a go, but will probably feel quite wrong greasing myself up pre workout! Let's see if anyone can shed any light on this....

Vaseline might help by causing extra sweat around the abdominal region therefore momentarily it will look like you have better defintion and fatloss but in reality you are just loosing water weight. You can't really spot reduce. So I would just save myself the trouble and use the supplement how it was intended to be used.

I generally agree, however there may be some science behind it that means it actually works? I'll probs just continue taking it normally, I've seen a good increase in energy in the gym when working out. I just really wonder if the topical way might be worthwhile
ps/ ON whey is the best whey ever I love it man especially the 10lb dog-food bags! quality.

If you decide to do the topical please let us know who it goes.
Interested in seeing if could actually work...

Best of luck. I don't think you'll be a greased up idiot. Most of this thing we call bodybuilding is trial and error. If it works, it works. If it doesn't - back to the drawing board! Either way, you tried!
On a side note, I've greased up before workouts before and I sweat unbelievable amounts. Way more than normal. I used to grease my stomach and pecs - worked pretty well! Good things, man!

Update on this...
BUMP
For those that were interested, I've used this a few times now and I don't see any amazing results to be honest plus I think a lot is not absorbed into the skin because it ends up on my T-shirt (even when I let it sink in for ages).
Maybe it tightens the skin a little but seems not to reduce bf / accelerate fat loss

I've heard of this before. I can't see that you would see results after only a few workouts though.

If you are really looking for a topical that actually works then I would seriously suggest something like Napalm, which is a topical fat burner used to spot reduce those trouble areas like abs, thighs, ect. It can cause temporary water retention, but goes away a few days after your done. You can stack it with something like Lipoderm ultra, which contains caffeine which can help alleviate water retention if that bothers you. Or Lipoderm-Y, which is a tad bit cheaper.

Here's some feedback on Napalm if you want to see some other forum members results.

Another good choice to tighten up the abdominal region would be Lean Xtreme. That together with Napalm hit my sweet spot.

Have a good one
