FitnessGrl8621's Diet/Training Journal
Hi Everyone
I just joined today and I've spent the past few hours reading all of your journals for inspriation! All of you look amazing!
I had surgery about 8 weeks ago and haven't been able to work out (and I've been eating like crap, so that doesn't help). I just want to get BACK into shape and lean up for summer, and well, just for life in general (I have a few trips coming up that I'd like to get into shap for as well ... St. Lucia late May, BFF's wedding in South Padre in May, and Vegas in June).
I already cheated today lol, so I'll be starting my actual 'diet' journal tomorrow. I did do some inline skating this morning for about 45 min (no idea how many MPH, but pretty fast). Also, my boyfriend and I are about to head to the gym... Hoping to get in some Back/Bi's.
Some Current Stats:
Age: Just turned 24 last Monday!
Just under 5'7''
Weight: 120-125lbs
Here's my meal plan for tomorrow, Monday, April 7th:
Meal 1: 1 whole egg, 3 whites; 1 serving (3 tbsp measured dry) Cream Of Wheat with a splash of FF Milk, splenda, cinnamon, and a little vanilla extract.
Meal 2: 1 packet of Labrada's Lean Body for Her, 1/2c skim milk 1/2c water, 4-6 frozen strawberries, couple cubes of ice, blended up.
Meal 3: 4oz lean ground Beef (4% fat), 1/2c baked sweet potato, 1 cup mixed steamed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots).
Meal 4: 1/2c LF Cottage Cheese, 6oz FF Peach Yogurt
Meal 5: 4oz steamed tilapia with Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper, 8 spears of steamed asparagus.
Meal 6: If still hungry, and still AWAKE! 1 scoop chocolate protein power blended with 1c water, ice, and 1 tbsp ANPB.
Headed to the gym first thing tomorrow morning for 45min. cardio ... I'll head back after work and train shoulders/tri's.

How many calories is that?? Doesn't look like much! You're already at a very low weight for your height! What are your goals exactly?

Well, I'm not quite as lean as in the pics. Those pictures were prior to my surgery (8 weeks ago). I've been eating like a pig since lol. So, basically just want to lean back up, and put a little muscle.
I haven't put the food into fitday yet, so I'm not sure on the exact calories. I was eating something similar to that when I took the photos. How many do you think I should be eating a day?

I went to the Astro's Baseball game last night, so didn't have time to post! I behaved, though, eating wise
Here's yesterday's meals:
m1: Protein Pancakes (1/2c oats, 1/4c LF Cottage Cheese, 4 egg whites, cinnamon, splenda, and vanilla extract) w/ a little ANPB and SF Syrup.
m2: 1 hard boiled egg/3 whites, apple
m3: 3-4oz chicken, 1/2c brown rice, 1c steamed veggies
m4: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1c skim milk, handful of frozen strawberries
m5: We ate at a BBQ place... Not the BEST, I'm sure there was a lot of sodium, but all I had was some BBQ Turkey (dry, no BBQ Sauce) and some steamed broccoli.
m6: ... When I got home I was starving but very sleepy and didn't feel like making anything ... I just had a spoonful of ANPB
As for working out yesterday, I did hop on my treadmill first thing in the morning for about 30 min.
Tonight, working chest/tri's ... and followed by 30 min. elliptical.

My alarm didn't go off this morning! Luckily even though my boyfriend has Friday's off his internal alarm clock is still set for 530am and he woke me up. I was still running late for work, though, so I didn't have to time for morning cardio OR my breakfast! I had a pack of oatmeal on the counter, but left it on accident. Soooo... Thank goodness it's Friday
Here's what I'm planning on eating for the rest of the day:
M1 (at 1pm): 4oz steamed tilapia, 1/2c brown rice with a little low sodium soy, 1c steamed veggies ... and 1 SF strawberry jello with a little FF cool whip (I have a MAJOR, MAJOR sweet tooth! I'd rather eat candy all day than regular food hehe)
M2: 1 whole hardboiled egg with 3 whites, 6oz FF Yogurt
M3: 4-5oz Chicken Breast, 1/2 brown rice, 1c steamed veggies
M4: 2/3c LF Cottage Cheese mixed with 1/2c Pineapple (with splenda and cinnamon )
We're not doing anything tonight, so I am going to make it to the gym ... Planning on working LEGS and 30 min cardio on the treadmill afterwards.

Your right...its over and done with and its a new week! The key to it is not going on a month binge. A weekend of week off isn't going to kill your goals...but a month could put a dent in them
Have fun working them shoulders!
