    Low dose Prednisone + Creatine?

Hey guys, I'm the guy with colitis as everyone on here knows and I'm weaning off my med called prednisone which is a corticosteroid. I'm half off of it and I'm gonna have to wait another month till I'm fully off of it...

If I were to start some creatine now would there be any excess stress placed on my kidneys from creatinine AND the corticosteroid?

    Thanks

You should be taking in protein. Prednisone is a catabolic corticosteroid.

I'm taking in protein. I have some carbs and fats too... Basically I'm just wondering if it puts any stress on the kidneys and if the both of em had a synergenic effect on my kidneys it might not be good?

If a person has normal kidney function... Creatine will not affect it. I have no idea if prednisone puts any stress on the kidneys. Coriticoids are rough on the body though. However, you need them for something like inflammation, they serve their purpose.
