newb question- bare with me!
OK, I got down to my goal weight from 180 to 155 on a cut stage. Only thing is, I wasn't too happy about the end result. I thought I wanted to just be lean at the time. My arms are way too small and no chest definition, etc. Now I want to put some mass on (bulk stage) and then do a cut in 2 months or so.
So now I'm weight training and bulking up. Just got some SixStar Professional Strength Whey protein to help. And I have used GNC Meal Replacements which helped me gain weight to get up to theat 18 and even 190 range at one point 2 years ago when I went for a bulk stage but didn't work out enough so I just turned fat.
ANYWAY, in my mind this seems accurate. Just want someone to confirm or tell me I'm wrong. My question is, with any added .lbs of muscle when I go back to the cut stage I should be able to have less body fat around my lower stomach because my caloric intake will have to support any added muscle weight. Correct? Meaning if take in the same calories as of now at 155 lbs then if I go back to that calorie intake with lets say 5lbs of added muscle mass, then the nutrients I take in will have to support that added 5lbs off muscle instead of going straight to my stomach, right?
The main demeanor behind this is I want to get rid of my lower ab fat when I come back down from adding some muscle mass. Right now I have a problem getting rid of lower ab fat and love handle fat. I know I'll add a good bit on my bulk stage.
Again, sorry for the newb question. I read threads on here but some question pop up in my head about bulking that isn't exactly spelled out in threads I search for.
