I found the Secret!!!
No, seriously, I've tried very very strickt diets, no cheating, then cheating once a week, this and that, blah blah.
The one, that worked for me, is not actually a diet but I started because I had some stomach issues: I had to leave Gluten/Wheat out of my meals. Not too difficult to manage, there are very good and tasty baked products, and other meals that have no gluten in.
If you have questions, let me know.

No, I don't think there is too much to give up. When I want to cut these things out of my meals, that is a work. But when I just don't eat it because..it's a lot easier.
Bread, pasta ..I can live without. Eat potato, rice, vegetables. If you can't exist witout bread, eat gluten free bread, I found a really good one and look forward to eat it in the mornings. Alcohol..I don't drink but rum, tequila, etc is good.
I ate oatmeal, oatbran every morning, for 2 years. I don't miss it..
I do not have a nutritional info on it, 1 slice of my gluten free bread is about 90/110 cal, depends on the kind. And it's dense but not dry bread dense. Other things are technically the same.
If you are cutting, you won't miss gluten/wheat anyway, because you won't eat pizza, pastries and a bowl of pasta.

Going on a gluten free diet makes sense to me. Lose the "glue" in the foods that stick to you. Nowadays, most superstores carry GF so switching really isn't all that difficult. This is something I've been seriously implementing in mine and my son's diet.

So give me a short list of foods that are gluten free. I'm guessing they are just unprocessed foods ...which isnt a secret. Fruits, veggies, lean meats, eggs etc?

No, gluten and wheat free isn't the same.
Gluten/wheat free is not equal with unprocessed food.
Gluten by wikipedia: "Gluten is a composite of the proteins gliadin and glutenin. These exist, conjoined with starch, in the endosperms of some grass-related grains, notably wheat, rye, and barley. Gliadin and glutenin comprise about 80% of the protein contained in wheat seed"
Gluten/wheat is in:
Flour -white, whole wheat (not only in bread but as a thickening agent in sauces, mostly at restaurants)
Bread, bread crumbs
Couscous
Barley
Rye
Oat, oatmeal, oat bran
Good: amaranth, arrowroot, millet, montina, lupine, quinoa, sorghum, rice -watch for sushi and sushi rice-, taro, potato, yam, tapioca, bean, soy, nuts and flours
Vinegar -check for destilled and wheat free
Some ice creams
Most sausages
Beer
Whiskey
Good: wine, sherry, port, cider, rum, tequila and vermouth
Ketchup
Soy sauce
Sweetened, salted nuts, chips, some PB
Salad dressings
I find it pretty easy to leave these things out. Bread, bagel or bakery, even ice cream I find pretty tasteful. Ketchup, I didn't really eat before, sometimes with fries and burgers, but we don't eat these kinds of things, right? Soy sauce very easy to find, and tastes the same. Vinegar I hardly use however lots of food do contain.
I ate oatmeal, oat bran every morning for like 2 years, I loved it and I looked forward to it every night. I look forward for my chicnese black bean bread that I toast a little and out ANPB or low cal preserv on it, greek yoghurt with fruit and I am full. Or I found great apple and blueberry sausages and I eat it with tarragon mustard -gluten free of course.
During the day, I never had any bread anyway. I eat sushi, I eat fish, potato, rice -wild rice yumm-, vegetables, chicken, beef -watch for steak sauce thus sometimes.
But if you do not have serious helath issues, that little soy sauce, ketchup you use to dip -I suppose 2 teaspoonish- won't hurt.
I also have cheat days, on the weekend. Not in the first 2 weeks thus.
Good luck, if there is question, I'm here.

It certainly makes sense to cut out gluten if you have an allergy or related problems, and it also makes sense that ridding your body of allergens/inflammatory stuff can let your body get on with reducing its fat storage!

Exactly, and they taste great! I couldn't tell there is no flour in or it's "different". You can easily find gluten/wheat free products if you are on strick diet for cutting/body image emprovement.
I did try Keto, and I gained instead. This, I don't try hard, and seems to be working.

Yes, if you are sensitive to a food and then cut that food out- it becomes alot easier to lose The thing is- this might be the 'secret' for you- if you were sensitive to it- but if someone else isn't, it won't garner them the same results But if one has issues with wheat/gluten intolerance it is definately common to find that one does find it easier to lose when one cuts those things out. (If you've noticed this with yourself, you may want to talk to your doctor about the possibility of Celiac's disease.)

I don't eat wheat unless necessary.
The best fat loss trick I have is, fiften before any meal, if you can eat three fists full of raw spinach, you'll end up eating 50% less for that meal.

please do not fall blind in ignorance to such a diet. (diet defined as a "way of eating").
a) calories, not gluten, determines overall body composition
b) What works for one person may not work for another
c) anytime you think you found that magic pill, secret diet, etc... step back, take a breath, and re-think your next choice.

Thank you for bringing intelligence into the conversation. Celiac disease is a serious illness and not a mild sensitivity to gluten. If you had it you would either be gain weight at an incredible pace or you'd be losing weight quickly (this is how it affects most people).

I don't have celiac disease, but it does work. On my cheat days, I do eat wheat (pizza, pastries...)
Fiber..are you serious? Vegetables, other non wheat flours, and if non of these work, than fiber powder you can get at any drug store.

If you eat less calories than you burn, you will lose weight too. You probably were not eating properly and cutting that stuff out of your diet helped you cut your calories even further.

Glad this worked out for you, interestingly enough my doc just asked me to do a 4 week gluten free diet. Noticed my body is assimilating it well, and its causing some interesting pre-diabetic symptoms.
We'll see.

I eat the same way as before, I do watch my diet thus. Once a week there is a cheat.
I only leave gluten out, substitute wheat bread with gluten free, no oatmeal, pasta, substitute them with potato, rice.
And they do have great cookies -like regular- and crackers.

My son has a wheat/corn/dairy allergy (he's allergic to everything it seems) and so I just cook for myself the way I cook for him. My body tolerates foods without wheat much better. I don't feel so bloated all the time for one thing. I was eating this way I picked up the weights and became so strict with my diet and I found that I lost a bit of weight. But then I was always careful of what I put in my mouth ie: additives, sugars, etc....

You really should cook or at least sear your poop before eating it.
