    How long after your post workout shake should you eat?

    I usually take my whey shake within 15-30 minutes after my workout. How long after I take the shake am i able to eat my next meal? Can I eat while taking the shake? Or instantly after? Or do I need to wait an hour or so to get best results?

    I would say eat maybe 20 minutes after. Or eat some carbs at the same time as the Whey shake.

    Depends on the pwo shake...Its its a whey protein shake in water or a specially designed pwo shake like recover x, Torrent, Replenish, Anabolic Window etc....I say eat a whole meal 30-35 min after your shake.

    However if you have a big heavy shake like two scoops of whey, 16oz of milk, banana, oatmeal etc...I say wait at least 1 hour to1.5 hours.....Thats what I do.
    With the increase in cardio and boxing/mma training I am staying at 175-185lbs compared to 215-230lbs. Will post recent pics soon. Since I will not fight until 6 months from now I will gain some muscle weight and worry about cutting weight later.

    Na, it's just 1 scoop (rounded) of ON whey in about a cup of 2% milk.

    I have had better results drinking a shake of BCAA and Whey Isolate during my workout and then having a whole food meal about 30-45 minutes after i finish my workout.
