MCT powder is derived from coconut and palm oil by a select process of hydrolysis and fractionally distilled fatty acids. It is then processed into a free flowing powder by spray drying with milk proteins and anti-caking agents to encapsulate the oil in powdered form.

Medium chain triglycerides are in a class of fatty acids. There chemical composition and makeup are shorter in length than most long-chain fats and oils (vegetable oil, canola oil, etc.) They are also very different to the typical fatty acid, they posses a lower calorie count to the usually 9 calories per gram of long-chain fats. They also are more redily absorbed and used for energy, more resembling a carbohydrate, and less like a ?fat?.

MCT has been found in studies to increase calorie burning compared with other fatty acids. MCT has also shown to lower blood glucose level within the body. Both of these aspects doubled together put the body in a very welcoming environment for weight loss.

MCT may also have sparing effects on protein and carbohydrates within the body. Since the human body first uses MCT for energy, this allows for the reserve of amino acids and glycogen.

MCT powder is a great additive to anyone of your customized protein powders or by itself. It can really add a healthy addition of calories as well as supply you with all the health benefits MCT oil is capable of.

Although I consume coconut oil and milk as a fat source because I like them, I've found from personal experience my performance is almost entirely dependent on amount and type of carbs w/ MCT's making no difference whatsoever consumed preworkout.

Many moons ago, I tried using MCT whilst endurance training and realized no benefit either.

While MCT may not be advantageous for althetic endeavors, it would seem to be a great source of fat/calories in one's diet. They do not require bile for digestion, which may prove to be beneficial for colonic health; it seems bile might cause cancer, which would explain why high fat diets are linked to higher rates of colorectal ca.
No sir, I don't like it.

    TY for this.
