interesting day for the mets, happy for degrom, great young staff moving forward. i'm shocked the mets did something this fast with cuddyer, I thought whoever posted it on ******** was lying. what I like about this move, don't have to see granderson in right field anymore, would cringe whenever he had to throw the ball back into the infield.

^ agreed cool day for the mets
really like the cuddyer signing, was the FA I most wanted when I took into consideration potential benefits over risks ( im never a fan of super FA signings so Hanley etc. are not preffered imo)
Next target for Alderson is clearly a SS to throw into the mix, so long as it doesnt cost TOO much.
Im ok with Flores going forward , but if throwing one of our starters not named DeGrom and Harvey along with one of our top prospects nets us a quality SS, then I'm all in.
HELL NO to Tulo, im sorry.

Honestly I don't see why we don't trade for Starlin. Ppl who say Flores can be just as good as him can **** off. Starlin was bad last year, yet was still one of the top SS. Give up one of Montero, Synn, Niese, Wheeler + another prospect and GG. If the Mets upgrade their offense by just a little they can basically be what the Giants were last year.

I know bro Mets are by far my favorite team out of all of mine. Been a die hard fan since I was six remember watching games then. Still remember staying up to watch walk off single in the 14th vs Atlanta and piazzas 9/11 homer. Watching the ending to the 06 07 and 08 seasons hurt way more than uconns 6 to lose or losing to George mason or the packers this year against the Seahawks. Was so pumped to watch us contend for the first time in forever than this bs happens

Dam man dem feels I remember all that amazing stuff as well. That 2008 season I was in college in Pennsylvania where everybody was a Phillies fan obviously and I was almost the only met fan, and when we blew it the whole campus erupted as I cried myself asleep. And that was the last time we were relevant. And i think '06 was when Beltran watched the change up go by and froze right?
My grandma use to sit in the dugout back when they were the Brooklyn Dodgers and her and Peewee Reese and the guys were great friends. So my Mets roots go very far back lol.

We are legit one of the maybe 2-3 teams in the league that can handle as big a blow as this because of our depth. Great move by Sandy for not trading any starters.
That being said this sucks donkey balls. But we have a mix of veterans and youngsters on our staff to ride with. This season will still come down to how consistent our offense is.

btw citi field having a watch party on opening day , free admission.
