I think some of you guys are missing the point. I expect a good amount of the weight loss to be water. I know I will lose a little muscle as well. Fully expect to. I expect to lose some fat in the process too. I am also expecting to lose some backed up poo as well! This will be a clensing experience to say the least. I plan on cutting back on the carbs, and stocking up on protein and vegetables.

its do-able but a)your gonna have to work your arse off, which means cardio like crazy and b)healthy eating...
not to rain on the parade though I wouldn't try and lose 10lbs in a week just to win this competition, keep losing the 2-3lbs a week because thats a healthy range, and do it for proper motives...I don't know th guy who is winning this competition but I can almost guarantee once he finishes, he will probably gain the fat back if he was losing weight just for a competition...if he has other reasons for losing the fat(the right reasons) and he is doing things properly like I advise for you, then and only then will he be likely to keep the weight off.

Well I found out some good news...I am not as far behind as I thought. The calculations were screwed up. I still need to lose about 8 lbs to be safe. I weighed in today at 249.8. Tomorrow morning starts the hell week, I have planned for myself. This should be interesting!

You don't need the whole week to lose 10lbs.
You can easily sweat that out the day of the weigh-in.
It's just a contest guys. If manipulating weight to meet a weigh-in was such a horrible thing, they wouldn't have treadmills and other cardio equipment backstage at bodybuilding competitions so people can get into a different weight class.

I lost 12 pound before in one week, but it was one of the worst things I did regarding diet and weight control, plus i gained them really fast after that.
I was on 1000 calorie diet, and i was doing cardio for one hour daily ( running on 6 MPH).
I will never do it again, I like losing from 1 to 2 pounds a week.

Well the weight in was this morning. I ended up losing 8.4 lbs and that was enough to actually win it. I won by 0.09%, as we were going by percentage of weight lost. The girl I beat was pretty devastated, she thought she had me beat.
