I see a lot of people advocating a low fat diet for a relatively clean bulk - generally 40/40/20 or even 45/45/10. Im just curious - wont the carbs end up as fat anyway? I dont know much biochemistry, but I know that carbs are broken down into pyruvate by glycolysis, that pyruvate can be used to make fats (via acetyl-CoA).
Also, why is bad to eat mcdonalds burgers or pizza to get your protein (and calories?). I can understand trans fat being an issue because its harder to break down and its more solid at body temperature (clogging up arteries) but if you cut the trans fat out - whats wrong with the burgers? what makes them unhealthy?
Sorry for the silly questions im a noobie

where to begin....whoever told you fat is should be banned. 20% MINIMUM of your calories should come from fat, bulk or cut.
Also, mcdonalds burgers and pizza dont have much protein, that is why they are not beneficial. Mcdonalds is full of preservatives, artificial ingredients, hi g.i. carbs and trans fat.
making your own burger with lean ground beef would be a great idea.
dont neglect fat!

Have you ever considered the health risks with too much trans fat? That right there that statment quoted above shows that you have no idea what a "Clean Bulk is" and why 20% of ur calories from fats is plenty to regular hormone function and adequate brain function.
The burgers why are they unhealthy? probably because of all the crap ingrediants that they come in, they are shipped from a company with extra thing to preserve their taste instead of fresh ground beef you can buy from a store.
Soaking those bad boys in grease and serving them are not going to be good!
