IFPA Cape Cod Oct 11 - prep thread
Currently 28 weeks out. I'll start posting progress pictures every so often.
It'll be my first IFPA pro natural show.
It's a long road still but it's gonna be a great journey.

To be a walking anatomy chart takes some time.

Thanks. Our (my wife is doing her first figure contest) trainer has a 20-week diet plan for us, so it'll still be about 8 weeks of good eating until then
I generally stay pretty lean in the off season.
Hopefully the progress pics to come will encourage future bodybuilders or folks competing this year. I used to be pretty skinny.

LOL! Solid start to hit the Pro stage and with 28-weeks of a nicely controlled diet and anatomy chart you'll be. Best of luck!

Thanks all. Training's going great.
I could never get above 185 lbs until I hit 27 or so. It gets a lot easier to put on weight as you get older.

Well I'm inspired Serratus. It's phenominal how you athletes can stay so lean off season and still diet longer and harder than the competition. I'll be following along to listen and learn. I'd try to say something motivational but I know your going to make it either way, so keep doing what your doing!

Garry, your tricep sweep is insane. Focus on your posing, because at this level it will be the deciding factor. You know everyone will be huge, peeled, and prety much complete, so it will come down to posing.
Your progress is fantastic. You are going to make a huge impact in your IFPA debut.

too easy actually. weight that is, fat more so than muscle, at least for me. and i grew up the typical ectomorphic hard gainer.
****ty schedules with insomnia and poor sleep contributed to my belly fat which is really my only problem. i've read some research on this. the most contributing factor is that cortisol competes with testosterone for receptor sites. when you do not sleep 7-9 hours or at least supplement with naps if under 7 hours sleep... you increase cortisol levels, increasing belly fat.
not sure if the cortisol blockers like Cortislim or 11-OXO work? i used 11-OXO for 3 weeks this prep. pretty sure i would of gotten where im at with my diet, cardio, training alone. no amazing effects so im dropping it.
YOU LOOK AWESOME THOUGH DUDE. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY LUCK!

Thanks all.
Buff, never tried a cortisol blocker. The science behind it seems decent tho.
Bill, as usual, you are correct. The posing practice is getting turned up. Hopefully it'll help with separation too.

Diet and training's going well. Posing practice yesterday was promising. Going to be a little bigger this time and a lot more shredded.
I'll get some progress pics soon.
