    How do i compare to an average 16 year old?

    Hey guys, i've started BB'ing at a very low strength point and i worked myself to these current stats: (6 months of lifting)

    BB benchpress: 130x5
    Deadlift: 150x5
    Squat: 140x5


    Are these average, below average ( i know they arent above average)

    For an average 16 year old?

    Im also 5'8 - 150lbs


    Ignore the Age: 19. I am 16.

    Definitely need to work on your squats and deadlifts. Bench press isn't too bad.

    I wasnt an athletic kid... didnt play much sports which is why i was weak.

    My starting stats were.

    Benchpress: 60x8
    Squats: 70x10
    Deadlift: 75x5 ( i pulled my back due to terrible form and had restarted DL'ing 2 months later)

    If you watch more videos of lifters, you will pick up new techniques. I advise you to go on youtube and watch some instructional and training videos. Correct form can add at least 30lbs to lifts (more so for squat / dead). Also, don't base yourself around average. Worst thing you can do. Just train hard. "Strength is a marathon not a sprint."
