Syntha-6 and mono and diglycerides.

I read a review in amazon saying they were using transfats in syntha-6 and decided to investigate. Mono and diglycerides CAN be transfat according to what i found in wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diglycerides : "can be synthetically produced" -, but that doesnt mean BSN uses this kind specifically.

Does anybody know if BSN uses the transfat in their product Syntha 6?

EDIT: As i was typing this post i decided to check for transfats in wiki and found this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfat .I think anyone who doesnt know much about them should read it. At this point i now understand that even if they use the transfat the quantities are not very relevant, as it is practically impossible to not consume them in small quantities even with a very natural diet (milk has natural transfat).

I personally don't trust that BSN's labels are completely accurate. Do a search and you'll find a lawsuit suing them for their fibbing on certain creatine supplements in some of their products.

I think such a huge company wouldnt be messing with a product being sold worldwide. I mean, wouldnt they be in BIG trouble is they get caught doing that? Today it is relatively easy to take a product to the lab and check if it really has what is said in the nutritional facts.

My concern was more because i read somewhere those mono and diglycerides were transfats. I now know they dont necessarily are but they could be.

I might try to contact them (BSN) just to see what they have to say about it.

I heard BSN got a lawsuit because they claimed they put more in their creatine formula but it was just creatine with caffeine, thats what i heard.

I am by no means the biggest fan of BSN, however people should get their facts straight. BSN's cellmass product claims to have patent pending creatine called ceem (creatine ethyl ester malate). The suit against them claims there is no outstanding patent of that kind. BSN rebuted this claim with substantiated evidence and the suit isn't going to go very far...fact.

In terms of the original post, I have no idea.
