1 year 25lb. cut Before and After Pics
Check out my bodyspace for the before and afters. Sorry there isn't a link but I just can't figure out how to post them here.
The pictures are approximately 1 year apart. First picture was taken February of 2007. I was lifting but I had a horrible diet and weighed in at 215lbs at 6'1". Surprisingly at the time I didn't think I was in that bad of shape but now looking back at the pics I looked pretty bad.
The after picture is of course a different pose but hopefully you can see the difference. I dropped down in the summer of 2007 to 180lbs. but had gotten back up to 190 in the after pic.
Let me know what you guys think and what areas need improvement.

Hah, that's a very impressive change.
I'd say you're looking great, just as more people always yell, more bulking. You seem pretty symmetrical and balanced to me

Thanks Chimpinzo.
Yeah I plan on doing a massive bulk after the summer is over but until then I think I'm just gonna try and stay lean while adding as much muscle as possible on my current diet.
By the way your looking pretty ripped yourself man.

Thanks, but best of luck to yourself, you're making great progress.
Stick with what you're doing and give it some time and you'll hit your goals in no time

Dude!! Very inspirational. Seriously that is a transformation to be proud of. You weren't fat by any means at 215 but you can see you put on muscle and shredded heaps over the last year!!
Keep up the good work!!

Yeah as someone who joined this site like 2 days ago this is very motivational. A few questions.... When u say you fixed your diet and got serious did u cut all the bad stuff out immediately or was it a gradual process also did you take any supplements?

Well first off thanks for the compliment, and yes I did all of a sudden change my eating habits. Basically my goal was to achieve a six pack if that doesn't sound too vain. However learning how to keep a proper diet was somewhat of a gradual process. Once I learned right and wrong foods mainly by doing research on bb.com it took time in learning how to spread foods out so that I didn't get bored with what I was eating.
As far as supplements go, yes I do take supplements. I vary between brands but basically always stick to the basics of 100% Whey Protein (lots and lots), Multi-vitamin, fish oil, creatine, and Nitric Oxide supplements. I feel like sometimes NO products aren't necessary but I love the pumps and energy burst I get from them.

Now that's a motivating transformation!
Great job.
What did you do specifically to change your diet?

^^^^^Thanks guys!
Well you have to understand that my diet before was complete sh*t. So when I first started I had a lot of learning ahead of me but basically stuck to the 5-6 small meals a day. That being said at least two of those meals were always a 50g protein shake.
The basics were to stay clear of all fast food and soft drinks all together. I took cheese out of my diet, fried foods, starchy white breads, candy/high sugar deserts, etc.... I learned that when shopping for groceries the rule of thumb should be too stay clear of going up and down the isles as much as you can because in actuality all the real whole foods you need for proper consumption are located on the perimeters of all grocery stores.
I don't consider myself as having a great diet because I do tend to drink a lot of carbs on the weekends if you know what I mean, but I do know what I should and shouldn't eat. Proper diet just takes a lot of preparation time and hard work but is definitely needed if you want to see results.
