Elliot had a triple that put us up a run, Duggie fresh batted .177 all season iirc. The guy didn't deserve the opportunity when he sh*t the bed that hard the entire season. Gattis I agree with, but Schafer may not have been able to play and I would only replace him with Schafer off the bench. Maybe R. Johnson, but we were banking on Gattis performing. BJ had also been a rather decent bat of late. Fate sealed that we'd be hindsighting, when he very well could've crushed a ball or R. Johnson or who have you could've sucked it up too.
There's too much bellyaching over sour grapes. Bobby wouldn't have caught jack, yet we faltered for many years under his stern guidance as well. Am I pissed off we're out for the 6th consecutive time in the last 13 years we've made it to the first round? Hell yeah, but everybody's quick to jump down the skipper's throat when their team strugglebusses when it was simply we weren't there when it mattered. You don't lead the nation in HRs and Ks and expect to be productive in the post season, where smallball reigns more often than not.

#1 priority has to be an ace. I keep hearing a lot of talk about Price.
Still not sold on FG. He managed one of the biggest collapses in baseball history, the WC debacle and that piss poor NLDS.Deads 405--> Goals 500....3xBW

I would be surprised if we went for pitching I mean potential starters: Minor,Wood, Hudson, Beachy(Health being back), Maholm, Teheran, Medlan, then the minor league guys. I think Minor is our Ace it would be nice to see Minor and Price reunite though. I am just not sure what will happen. It depends on the McCann situation if he stays no cap room for pitching most likely.
No one cared who I was before I put on the calves.

I don't understand why this is even happening. Turner Field is still in great shape. Are Atlanta teams just trying to get out of the hood? Personally, I'm kind of appalled. I enjoyed going to turner/the GA dome and the downtown element just adds to the experience. Being in the city is what makes it great. Now they're taking both of them out of the city, what gives?
makes sense, they already use turner field parking as their own.

30% of season ticket holders live in the new area. crime won't be the issue. as in I'll be able to drive my nice car and not have to worry about the wheels being gone when I get back to it after the game. this is awesome and new construction is exactaly what this city needs.
This is awesome! I've been looking at buying a place and now I know where I want to buy. I'm getting as close to the new stadium as possible before the price goes through the roof.MuscleTech Supporter

a few different reasons i think
- nothing to do around turner field. the new ballpark is being described as a 'real braves country' with a bunch of bars, resturants, tons of chit to do (idk if this is true, might just be talking points)
- stadium needs about 200 or so mil in renovations, braves don't really want to put that money into a stadium they dont even own
- it makes sense - they are putting the park where the most braves fans are.
the only real baffling thing to me imo is the 'were moving b/c no mass transit near turner field' but they are putting it in cobb county which vetoed having marta...my name is nathan but my friends just call me N word

some of that makes sense, namely the renovations and the fact that the largest majority of ticketholders live there. I guess I just liked the idea of having the "Atlanta" Braves and "Atlanta" Falcons in atlanta. In a few years, no mas.
Interested to see exactly what's around where they are building. If there are a lot of awesome sports bars and whatnot it could be really cool.

well the dome is in the heart of fulton county
cobb county=marietta/smyrna/kenesaw/acworth area
also, idk how often you guys drive through that area, but traffic is absolutely a nightmare there. It's going to be TERRIBLE on gamedays now.
I really like the downtown location better in theory, we will see how it goes once its actually executed.

Well, if this goes through I'm basically fuked as far as commuting to and from work. It's already ridiculous and this is going to make it eve worse.
Or doing much of anything for that matter. Everything around the area is going to be so damn congested.Braves - Falcons - Thrashers - UGA

Oh no doubt that GSU is salivating over that space.
I hear that the organization had had big plans for a bravesville of sorts. The Mayor and all have been so focused on the falcons thing and after all of the resources used on that deal, there just wasnt enough resources and money for the Braves to get what they want.
I hear that cobb County ponied up and basically snatched it. The new stadium well more than likely have a Braves community type deal. The area around the Ted was neglected as far as the organization goes. Seems like that was a major driver
the logistics will be damn tough around there.***Gender Non-Committed***

thats very true, but i think they have a plan or something, they HAVE to lol. the organization must know its a congestive nightmare atm, maybe the braves are a perfect opportunity to find a solution, whatever it may be
can confirm, having wet dreams as to what GSU would do with it if we get it
thats hwat i've been hearing too, im much more excited for the braves new place than the falcons for some reason and i have no idea whymy name is nathan but my friends just call me N word

My office is literally across the street from the stadium and the other parking lot. Never going to be able to get home now crew checking in. Usually takes like 15-20 to get .5 mi on the highway right now. Logistics here are horrible. If they add another exit at Windy Ridge it would help, but it's going to be a mess.

yes, I know what Cobb county means. I work in marietta and live in Acworth until recently I was in Kennesaw right at Barrett and 75.
traffic will be bad but it was no cake walk going to and leaving in Atl. if you parked in one of the official lots it took FOREVER to get in and out. Opening day took me almost 2 hrs coming from Barrett in Kennesaw.
at least now there will be direct access to 2 major interstates and hwy41.
at least for games you'll have things to do all day before and after. I don't think traffic will be that much worse if it goes as planned. it supposed to be more like Wrigley or Fenway where there is things to do outside the stadium as opposed to Turner Field where the only thing to do is try not to get shot and sit in traffic.
GSU will make good use of the space and yes Cobb did pony up some cash. it will pay off for them big time.
all of this is great news for everyone. this will jump start construction and business in a big way. I work for a very large commercial builder and I'm stoked. even if we don't get a lot of the Braves/Falcons work that means it'll lighten up the competition for other work.
this is great news. I'm excited.

I stopped trying to quote. I'm in a plane so the wifi sucks and my phone hates it right now
to maz. Yeah I think they want to create more of an experience. As it stands now you go down there for the game then head back to your home area. I'm sure they wants bars, restaurants and sht so people come in early and stick around for a while. That would be fun. Bars, food, tailgating and shopping. Wgatever the fck u wanna do
I do see how people would have gripes tho. Im not mad th. My only thought is thT it would have been cool to build up the area around the ted as a true braves country. Ah well I guess
to ari
yeah the stadium is still in decent shape, but the area around it is complete sht.
I think the organization found a deal that they like, and they see dollar signs. Its going to have to be impressive because the location is no longer central. People from the rural south will need to be able to make a full day out of the trip
To crohns brah (same here)

but I feel your pain. I cant imagine thaf happening in my area either (perimeter mall).
