Sorry for posting this here but I am 40!!.....I've been training my a!@e off for five months and am pretty pleased with the results and use Garnell Whey...but I get the feeling I could be doing better...I know all of you will have a diferent favorite but is there one brand that is high protein, low carbs..good taste that you long termers would recomend (does it need to be Hydrolysate?)...I try and eat as much chicken/eggs...real protein as I can but a lot still comes from my shakes..I have a Casein shake before bed so have that covered....looking forward to the advice!!!!

I found that the most important supplement, after food, is a good post-workout shake. BB.COM has several good ones. Look for one with fast absorbing carbs and whey hydrolysate or isolate in a 2:1 ratio. My favourite is Biotest's Surge.

I like Isopure because it tastes good and mixes really easily with water without needing a blender--no chunks at all to choke down. Post-workout I do a mixture of 30 - 40g Isopure and throw in 15-20g maltodextrin (but I'm on keto and keeping the carbs low . . . you could do more).
But yes, take a look aroud the BB.com store . . . there are lots of options and I'm sure that others will post suggestions here as well for you. Agree that this is a very important part of bodybuilding nutrition. If you are going to supplement, this is the area to start!*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*

V2 tastes good and has more protein content than most brands. I am getting ready to order proscore 100 from **************when my v2 runs out which is even more pure than v2 though have not tried yet so cant confirm taste; but have read its recommended for medical purposes so think it maybe more legit with regard to labeling. Not all proteins are the same and have found cheap proteins can really cause me digestive problems; but thats just me.

I just switched to the Met-RX 100% Metamyosyn protein, and I love the taste of it. It's instantized too, so it mixes really easily. I only switched because I got it for cheap at my gym, but the price here is good and it mixes easily, and it tastes good with water. In milk the taste is a little weaker, but that's ok by me.
