How long to achieve this body? reps for helpful advice...
You can see my pretty current pictures in my bodyspace (month or so old)... I have been lifting since a year ago this past Thanksgiving... so like 16 months? I started at 155lbs, currently 201lbs.
I really want to achieve the body of TimberWolf here on the bb.com site...
First, I am not assuming this body is not able to be attained naturally... but how long, without use of steroids, would it take me to reach this body type? I would think a few years... 3 or 4, most likely.
Second, How much do you think I should weigh? He is 5'10 and 184lbs. I'm guessing I would need to be around 195-200ish?
I am trying to set a long term goal for myself, and it would be very helpful to get some insightful ideas.
Thanks guys, like I said, reps for good info!

Hey man, I'd say 2 years. Being an inch taller, I think you'd have to weigh 190-195 to be his size, at ~7% bodyfat. So I would say, bulk up to 220-230 then cut back down and see where you stand, if you arent happy, bulk up again and keep the process going. Good luck and hope everything goes well for you.

Time to do a cut. Their are many different diets that work. It all depends on what you want to do. You can go on a low carb/high protein ( with a refeed every three days ) kind of diet and not do a ton of cardio. Or you can do a carb cycle and do more cardio which is what I like to do since I love my food. I cycle by doing a high/medium/low carb days. I am in the gym 6 days a week, do cardio anywhere from 20-50mins depending if I am doing HIIT or not, on HIIT days I spend less time on cardio.
Dont try and look like someone else. Everyones genetics are different. Just put your time in the gym, maintain your diet. Once you fully cut you will learn which muscles you have neglected and than you can figure out a plan on your next bulk to make those muscles stronger.
Good luck

Great advice.. I really appreciate it! No offense, but I do not think I am going to cut quite yet... soon though!! I have about another month of my bulk cycle left, I'll see how clean I can do it, and depending on that.. I might try to go all the way up to 220ish... but when it comes time, I will defininitely take your cutting advice. Once again, thanks!

I don't think a time frame should be put on any physique goal. Everyone progresses at different rates and everyone has different genetic potentials. You are 22, isn't Timberwolf in his 40's? If his build is possible for you then you have plenty of time. If his physique is what you wish to emulate set that as your long term goal. Make short term goals and strive to achieve those on your way to your ultimate goal. If you work hard and strive to succeed if you don't get to Timberwolf's level you'll still have a physique thats admirable.

Keep in mind that in some of Timberwolfs pics he is as low as 170 pounds, but then again based on his muscle size, he must have a very small bone structure to look so huge at that weight. Everyone is so different as far as weight goes it'll be impossible to say when you'll look like that. What I can tell you is you are better off with a clean bulk... slowly put on mass and theres no reason to go up much above 12% bf, then when you feel as though you are ready to cut, cut down to 6-7%. If i were you i would try to lean out now and then slowly build mass from there, the longer you keep bodyfat the harder it'll be to lose... that's just my opinion though

If you're TOTALLY new to lifting, I'd say a good 6-7 with good genetics. Partially because he is a heavy ecto and has such a small waist, a look that can't be achieved simply by dieting and lifting.

I think there is something a lot of people are missing in this thread...that guy is a HEAVY ecto, meaning at competition, his waist is probably around 27-28" and gives him an AMAZING taper without having to be huge to achieve such a look. An endo morphic body type will not be able to achieve a body type quite as aesthetic as this because of the wide waist. Even at my lowest bodyfat of about 6% I still had a waist around 30" due to my bodytype. You will be able to get the size and definition of this guy perhaps, but maybe not the same dimensions, I hope this helps you some, in my honest opinion a physique like this shouldn't be achieved by long bulks and huge cutting periods, it should be done VERY slowly maintaining a mid-low bodyfat around 10-12% so that one can really tell where they need to add mass, or be more lenient on working on. I hope that helps you more than "OMG eat a lotz and lift big weitz"
