I've been going out w girl for 6 months. We hit it off great but its pretty slow now. recently she made a new friend she works with. The problem is this girl and my girl they text most of the day (even when im with her). and at nights they either text till late night. the thing is ill be with her, she'll be all quiet and act sad, then the minute she texts with her new friend shes all happy and all. the thing is that she calls me to come over, but spends her time texting or talking with her friend. I'm no way jealous of her friend, but it's pissing me off that she is ignoring me and all she does is text. if I want to have serious talk she'll text and if i get mad she'll say im jealous. If im with her, insteading of saying i gotta go my bf is here, she'll say something like people are over i can't talk. I was thinking of just acting like im busy and can only see her once a week so she'll realize that I don't give her as much attention. I was wondering on what I should do. Thanks in advance.

Don't go over next time.

Or go over and have someone call you/fake a call (alarm) and ignore her for a while.

Or go over, when her friend calls just go do something else (watch T.V. or go outside or something.

yeah I'd just have a chat with her tell her your not going to waste your time w/ her if shes going to be texting all night, say it doesn't really bother you(jealousy wise i mean) but it takes away from the time you spend w/ her. I hate when people text or talk on the phone for a while if I'm w/ them, I just tell them to get off the phone or I'm not going to bother hanging out. I'm kinda curious as to why she says "people are over" instead of saying "my bf is over" that's kinda like f'd up, i'd maybe say something about that. Also if it was me and a girl was saying that I'm getting jealous of her texting all night instead of being w/ me then I'd just stop hanging out w/ her or just break it off.

This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I tell every woman I date that our time is just that, our time. I turn off my phone for her and I expect her to do the same. She can feed her text addiction on her own time. Of course older, more mature women do not have this problem. This is epidemic among women in their teens and 20's, however.
