Nutrition for Colds....
When you get a cold, do you eat certain foods that help build up your immune system? If you do...tell me what foods have helped you.....
I seem to notice if I load up on Broccoli and greens and berries, (like blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries)....then I don't seem to catch a cold so easily when others around me are sneezing, coughing, etc....

This thread has caused me to realize that I haven't had a cold in over a year! I can't remember the last time I had the flu. Although I did get strep about 2 years ago. Watch, now that I've said that I'll come down with something tomorrow
When sick though, I am a fan of soups. I also drink 100% fuit juice, but I water it down some. And, ofcourse, some tea with lemon and honey for that sore throat. Dayquil keeps me functioning and NyQuil keeps me sleeping!

I like Source Naturals Wellness Formula, but it can be hard to find in my town. I load up on vitamin C and zinc otherwise.

I dont know about specific foods but just clean eating in general will build up the immune system. I haven't really gotten sick in years other than an occassional sniffle here or there from allergies. In fact, over the last couple weeks, I have been surrounded by sick people and I'm the only one that hasn't gotten it. (**fingers crossed**)

Eating clean has stopped my migraines (I only get them when I'm on the road and eating a lot of service station junk these days). But I seem to catch a lot of colds.
I don't get floored by them any more - just a lot of snuffles and achy-ness.
My normal remedies involve orange juice (but I drink a lot of that anyway), honey, onions, and garlic.
