if thats what u've been eating ud be in keto. and keto is the same for men or women, eat the ratios, get the results. if ur cutting the only thing i can suggest is a defecit if ur not already in one. although i cant seem to find a place u can lose anything :P

X2 ^^^^ what would you want to lose? a cold?
Just figure out your daily calorie needs and protein needs and go from there.

I'm using a ketogenic diet to get shredded for a contest. Women, for some reason, ALWAYS respond better to low carbohydrate diets. It's like, when we don't have carbs, our bodies are fat burning machines.
If you weight train, I would start with 1600-1800 calories, and see what your weight does from there.

My body is a fat-hugging machine.
Carbs or no carbs. I can't even lose water weight right.

Maybe it's OVER activity and UNDER eating? When I was on 1500 cals and doing 2 hours a day of cardio, my weight WENT UP!
But as of recently, I'm on about 1750 cals, and only doing an hour a day, and I've dropped about 7 lbs since Friday (water + some fat)

I know people always say that, but is it really true? Then why did prisoners of war and holocaust victims who were definitely under eating not start gaining at some point? Not trying to argue anything, just wondering since it seems interesting that some people gain when eating as low as 1200 calories or less for example, but people like anorexics eat very little to nothing and are not fat/gaining?

Anorexics and holocaust victims are LITERALLY starving. Their muscle has already begun to eat itself and there is nothing to them. When healthy people over exercise and their body doesn't want to give up any more fat and doesn't want to start eating muscle, it starts gaining/maintaining to preserve what it does have.
I'm sorry, I don't know the physiology behind it. Only anecdotal evidence.

Right now, they're about the same thing
I eat 100g of carbs once every 4 days (my cals go up to about 2000 on those days).

Well, I'm eating 1900 calories and only doing 30-60 minutes of cardio, and I keep my weight lifting under an hour 3-4x a week.
I'm starting to get discouraged because when I was eating whatever I wanted, no lifting, and the only exercise I got was from high school gym class, I feel I was the same as I am now. I'm just healthier. I can eat everything in sight, have nothing but diet coke for 2 weeks, or count calories and workout religiously for 2 hours a day, and it doesn't seem to effect me either way.
I love working out, but I feel like.. why am I watching what I eat when I could have pizza everyday?! I thought dropping 5lbs would be a piece of cake at my age, but nope.

Hey Jaime!
Would you recommend increasing calories by adding a meal or adding to a single meal, or by increasing calories by a small amount throughout the day?
I'm trying to increase kcals as well (I want to restart my thyroid asap) but I'm not sure which method would be most effective.

My trainers have me sticking to oatmea, sweet potatoes and raisins...but that's because I'm 12 weeks out from a comp.
It depends what your goals are and how soon you want to reach them. If you want to recomp your body, then by all means have fat free ice cream and bagels. But if you're looking to cut and serious about it, stick to slow burning complex carbs

Hey you! Long time no see!
If you're only having 5 meals per day, then i think you should add in a whole other meal. If you eat 6 times per day, then add on a little to each meal.
