    Pasta Recipes?

Anyone have any decent pasta recipes? With chicken, beef, or any meat?

I'm not good at this kind of thing, but am willing to learn... I was searching Google, but nothing really in the bodybuilding realm of things.

    Thanks.

IMO Just look up a good pasta recipe and add some chicken into it or have a scoop of protein on the side...

A lot of you guys get way too caught up with making bodybuilding recipes...but if anything we can afford to eat the sh*t everyone else can't...and if there isn't enough protein, add some.

i make my own alfredo sauce.

    250ml of heavy whipping cream
70ml of milk (I don't measure this i just throw some in on top of the cream)
    1/4 stick of butter
3/4 cup a Romano cheese.( I prefer Romano over Parmesan)
    Garlic Powder
    Salt+Pepper
    Chicken (optional)

    Melt butter
Heat will be around medium-low. You want it so it just barley bubbles. pour cream in and whisk around every minute or so. After about 10 mins I pour the cheese in. Add the cheese slowly over a couple of mins and stir frequently. If you add it all at once it takes longer to melt. With a few minutes left to go I add lots of garlic powder, little bit of salt and pepper. You can also add some precooked chicken too. Total time from cream added to completely finished about 20min.

Biscuits make an great side or garlic bread is great too.

This is NOT a HEALTHY MEAL. I can eat this whole thing in one sitting. The fat content is outrageous. This is my favorite cheat meal besides buffalo wild wings

    yeah

get 1 portabella mushroom (or 3-4 oz of any mushrooms)
4 oz of steak ( ilike skirt steak)
    any amount of pasta
some kind of thick red sauce
5.-1 oz of some kind of grated/shredded cheese (mozerella works well)
    1 cup veggies (broccoli)

sautee steak and leave juice in pan, throw some liquid to get the crusties off the pan, then throw the chopped mushroom in there and sautee it with the veggies. then mix the sauce and pasta and cut up steak, then throw in the mushrooms and veggies and while its all hot put the cheese on its really good. you need some good shrooms though

This is what I usually do.

Take some WW pasta in a pot with boiling water. Season with salt. Cook until el dente, then strain the pasta reserving some of the pasta water.

Start off my sauteeing some onions and garlic in olive oil over medium heat. Then you can add whichever kind of veggies you like (I usually add some mushrooms, asparagus, broccoli, and diced tomatoes). Let the veggies cook for about 2-3 minutes while stirring. Then throw in whichever meat you would like and cook until juices run clear. Then add in your pasta sauce. Let the mixture simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Finally add the pasta with a little bit of the pasta water to help everything combine.

    Possible spices (parsley, oregano, rosemary)

Well, I'll tell you what I'll be making in about an hour.

Boil salted water in a big stockpot.
Add a pound of penne or your other favorite pasta
    Cook until al dente.

    In the meantime:

In a large skillet pour in about a quarter cup EVOO.
Add 2-5 large cloves of garlic (depending on your tastes); I like to use a press to crush the garlic.
Add a bunch of coarsely chopped:

    onion (1 medium onion)
    a package of mushrooms
1 bell pepper (whatever color you fancy)
    zucchini

Heat in the skillet at high heat, stirring constantly. Lightly salt and pepper to taste.

After about 5-10 minutes or so, add in a pound of ground beef. Add some more salt (don't be shy here, too little and the meat will be very bland) and pepper and any herbs you see fit; I like basil and a little thyme. Many people like oregano, but I'm not a big fan. I also put in some crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat.

Continue cooking until the veggies have reached the desired tenderness and the meat is fully cooked. At this point, dump in a whole jar of your favorite tomato sauce. I like classico tomato & basil, available at just about every grocery store.

Let it all simmer on med-low heat for a few minutes to heat the sauce and then EAT.

edit: almost forgot- before adding the sauce, dump in about 1/2c red wine.

    Bolognese sauce:
Sautee some onions, garlic, celery and carrots (all finely diced) in some a little olive oil, add in some ground sirloin. When its cooked through, add some tomato sauce and simmer for a while.

    Pesto sauce:
about 1/3 of pinenuts or walnuts, 1/2 cup basil leaves, 1/3 cup paremsan cheese, 2 cloves garlic. Throw in food processor, slowly add in 1/3-1/2 cup olive oil (depending on consistency you like) in a slow steady stream. Add a couple spoonfuls to cooked pasta and add a chicken breast on top.

It doesn't involve meat, but an excellent meal is WW pasta tossed with lowfat cottage cheese and spinach...excellent. And you could throw in shrimp/pasta whatever.

Smile Check out the simple Pasta recipe by Master Chef

    Hey, this is Arshad.

Preparing the best pasta can be really difficult at first for most of us. It is almost impossible for us to master how to do it without proper step-by-step tutorial from the professional chefs.

I've watched hundreds of tutorials online, but nothing could beat this short, simple and to the point, clear-to-the-cut video here: dausel.co/DuO9TS

Click the link above, and you'll land on an intermediate page, just click ''I am not a robot'' to continue, and you'll land on the best YouTube Tutorial video on pasta cooking where it shows step-by-step on how to prepare al-dente pasta even if you're a complete beginner.

I hope that someone would have shown me this earlier when I first learning how to prepare my first pasta dish. That could save me hours and hours of banging my head on the wall, trying different methods out.

Again, you can watch the tutorial here: dausel.co/DuO9TS

I'm almost 100% sure that this tutorial is going to blow your mind away.

I am a big fan of this chef and he makes it ridiculously easy! No joke.

    Hope it helps

    Happy Pasta,
    Arshad

What I know is that there are two types of pasta red sauce and white sauce. Which one do you like to make?
Well, you can get it from various youtube channels.
