The Final Week - Keto carb loading??

Hey guys, I'm running a keto diet right now and will be till my contest. Should my carb deplete/load be any different than someone who has been running 150-200g carbs up until the final week?

I'm taking in ~30-40g of carbs right now from broccoli/nuts/peanut butter, and for the deplete portion I plan on using flax seed oil/ olive oil instead of nuts and nut butters so I will be taking in 5g or less of carbs. Then during the 'carb up' phase I will do something like:

    Wednesday: 250g carbs
    Thursday: 350g carbs
    Friday: 450g carbs
    Saturday: Showtime!

I'm just worried my body may react differently to carbs since it will have been a long time since my body has had a steady intake of carbs. I may drop the carbs in all of those days by 100 and see how I react.

    Thanks for the link Matt.
Why white rice though? Isn't that a faster burning carb? I may stick with sweet potatos and oatmeal for my carbs since I haven't eaten a grain of rice in about 3-4 months. Seems more safe to me.

Quick question: When he says 25g of white rice, does he mean 25g of carbs from white rice, or the actual weight of the rice?

You're gonna spill over with those numbers, just add 25 grams of carbs to every meal and keep the fats in it...

Palumbo suggest 35-50g of carbs per meal. The link posted above should work just fine.

it means 25 grabs of carbs. And stick with the white rice for this. The white rice is coming directly from the Palumbo diet, and trust me, he has taken into consideration that you have basically been taking in no carbs up to this point. In the end its all a crap shoot bro, but there are some good reviews from this.'

If you are totally against white rice though, he also suggest using potatos and grits. Im pretty sure hes talking about white potatos too. Ive used white potatos for my carb ups on all diets.

I have a very similar question to this, the diet i've been doing is low carbs as well with 2 refeed meals a week. The guy i'm working with said that i should do the week the same as normal, but have my refeed meals on Weds,Thursday the week of show and continue the diet normally up till prejudging(continuing the lower carb diet), then eat whatever. does anyone think this sounds alright. I thought i should def get some more carbs on frid/sat as well any opinions? I just don't wanna F anything up for my first show.

I think with you refeeding twice per week your body will be pretty accustom to taking in carbs, so I would say to not change anything.

    Okay so its...

Wednesday: 150g carbs (180-190g carbs when you add in the carbs from nuts and peanut butter)
Thursday: 180g carbs (210-220g carbs total)
Friday: 210g carbs (230-240g carbs total)

Ah! No dirty last meal :'( ! I was really looking foward to that cheesecake... Darn you Palumbo!!

Also, does he want you to eat the rice uncooked? He says cut out water, so I assume he wants you to add in the rice to your eggs.

Cook the rice bro, the amount of water held in the rice will be no issue. The water hes talking about is the water you drink. But ill prolly use potatos since thats what im used to. And you should still be able to get your cheat meal the morning of the contest
