Cellucor P6 (free testosterone) - good or bad?
Considering taking Cellucor's P6, but wanted to see if anyone had an opinions on the product. I have read that side effects can include breakouts, enlarged prostate, difficulty urinating, etc. Greatly appreciate anyone's thoughts.

which p6? if it is the p6 extreme red labelled one it appears to be nothing but herbals test "boosters"
the p6 black though is a combo of 3 prohormones, looks like 1-ad, 1,4ad bold, and tren extreme....so i would expect steroid like side effects as normal for a product like that.

yeah, it's the combo 3 pack. i've had really good success with M-5 (creatine) so thought I might try out some of Cellucor's other stuff. They say it is an anabolic testosterone booster so I think you're right.
Have you ever tried testosterone booster? Thanks for the repsonse.

i honestly don't waste my time with a lot of that stuff, im sure it works for some people but for what it costs id rather spend my money elsewhere. A buddy of mine at the gym used the p6 black, was seeing good gains, but his workouts were weak and he was so tired and lethargic he stopped taking it, oh yeah and he was getting high blood pressure headaches.

If you were wondering..
I randomly stumbled in upon your thread and wanted to give you some information regarding the supplement you are considering: (I copied the following from the website link you provided as to "how" the product works)
? Maximizes Free Testosterone (OK, good... that's what they say)
? Maximizes Growth and Strength Potential (Ok, that's what they say)
? Blocks Estrogen and DHT Conversion (good re: blocking estrogen, but DHT stands for dihydrotestosterone. DHT is "activated" testosterone-- an enzyme, 5alpha reductase literally converts test into DHT. DHT is at least 100x more active than regular testosterone-- it is what gives you the gains in the gym. It is also what is hypothesized to accelerate balding. With the good comes the bad.)
? Raises IGF-1 Levels (I don't know what drug they could be using that increases IGF-1, but increased IGF-1 levels would result in gains in muscle mass as well as entire-body effects. IGF-1 is the result of increased growth hormone release. No one really knows the long term effects of IGF-1 administration, however, long term release of growth hormone in someone like yourself, post puberty, would result in acromegaly. Google it...)
? Blocks SHBG (blocking SHBG would result in increased free testosterone in the blood since test binds to SHBG to be carried in the blood-- and when test is bound, it is inactive. However, increased testosterone in the blood, I can only think would be quite short lived because the increased testosterone levels will feedback to the brain to decrease release of LH/FSH (the two hormones that signal the testes to produce testosterone). The body always has checks and balances.)
? Increases HCG (HCG = human chorionic gonadotropin. Injections of HCG are used to stimulate the leydig cells of the testes to produce testosterone (with infertility cases), so that's good. However, there is something called the blood/testes barrier, which is hard to penetrate. That's why HCG is injected into the testes, not given orally. Oral administration of a drug will enter the bloodstream after passing through the liver [which, as an FYI, for the most part- note: there are exceptions- oral anabolics are largely degraded/inactivated by the liver BEFORE they reach the muscle/target and therefore are not nearly as effective as anabolic injections]-- therefore, I doubt the drug would be able to penetrate the blood/testes barrier-- because a large portion of it will already have been degraded by the liver into inactive metabolites and of those molecules that survive the liver, they likely won't be able to pass the barrier.)
Translation: sounds like they are full of it.
Hope this helps. Best of luck with your goals.
