YanksFan4Ever77's Purple WRAATH Lemonade log
So... I'm back in town now... and i've taken the last 10+ days off from the gym. As some of you know I was supposed to use this for baseball, but when i got cut a week ago obviously that became impossible. I took the cut personally, but I think i'm getting over it and now moving on. Hopefully, when I get back into my weight lifting routine that will help me get my mind focused off baseball.
During this log, here's the routine I'll follow:
Monday - Arms
Tuesday - Shoulders
Wednesday - Chest
Thursday - Off
Friday - Back
Saturday - Legs
Sunday - Off
I'll be doing cardio everyday on the elliptical ... now that I don't have to train for baseball i'll be doing slow cardio for a longer period of time (burning more calories)...
The fun starts tomorrow, can't wait. Too bad I'm not a graphic designer, I would make all these log posts colorful like some of the others are doing. Thank you again Controlled Labs for giving me this opportunity !!

Day 1
Yesterday's workout was hard...not being in the gym for over 10 days showed. I was only able to get in 2 sets before I was completely worn out. I was able to do some slow cardio for 25 minutes and burn 400 calories though.
The Purple Lemonade is good stuff...I think it seems to mix better than the grape stuff. I think I'll end up trading up flavors every other bottle I buy just to change things up.
Today is leg day and I leave in about 3 hours for the gym. Can't wait for this one either!!

Day 2
Today was leg day... Again, strength is down, could only do 2 sets... however I was able to increase my cardio 10 minutes so that was good (burned 550 calories in about 36 minutes - up from 400/26 yesterday)... for some reason i didn't really like the taste of the lemonade wraath....it made me want to gag but I got it down anyway...
Tomorrow is an off day... Will report in Monday (Arms day) .... Thank you all for the support

Day 3
Today was Arm Day... I was able to get 3 sets in on most of the exercises I did today, my strength continues to increase as each workout passes by. The Purple Lemonade tasted fine today, don't know what the other day was about... i was able to do cardio for 35 minutes (530 cals) ... My legs were still sore from saturday's workout ... i hope to go up to 45 minutes tomorrow we'll see... eventually I want to go for 65 minutes...
Tomorrow is Shoulder Day. I think I'm over the fact that I got cut from baseball, now that I'm back in the routine... thanks for all your support and I'll check back in tomorrow...

Day 4
Today was good... I was able to get 3 sets in on most exercises... most notable thing was that I moved up to 45 minutes on cardio (700 cals)... not quite to 60-65 minutes but definitely better than when I started (25 mins)
The Purple Lemonade stuff is good...had 2 scoops again and it works just like it's supposed to...
Tomorrow is Chest Day, probably the hardest day I have... this should be good

Day 5
Yesterday was Chest Day... I could only do 2 sets until I was gassed... did decline, flat, and incline bench presses and flies with 2 sets on the isolation chest press machine (250 pounds). Could not do cardio because I was done.
I was disappointed by this workout, but wouldn't call it a complete failure. Today is an off day...but because of yesterday's failure at cardio I am going in and getting my revenge. Hopefully I can get up to 60 minutes today, that would be great.
I'll report in later with the results.

Day 6
Today was Back Day....and I felt like SUPERMAN... These days usually don't come very often and today I had it all....did 3 sets on every exercise plus set new PR in deadlift... after a bit of rest afterwards I reached my goal of 65 minutes on the elliptical burning exactly 1000 calories.... The only thing I did different was use 3 scoops of PW instead of 2, but I don't see how that would make a difference... but who cares it was an excellent day...
Tomorrow is Leg Day, if i have half the strength of today's workout I would be happy....
Edit: Yesterday (off day) I did about 35 minutes of cardio for 500 calories...

Day 7
Yesterday was leg day.... and it was intense.... I am extremely sore and can hardly walk...did 3 sets of hack squats, smith machine squats, leg curls, leg extensions, lunges, and others.... after a break there was only about 35 minutes left before my gym closed, so I tried to make the most of it....I actually felt up to some intense cardio....ended up burning 500 calories in a little less than 31 minutes, which is pretty good for me... Another great workout...
I love the CL stack I'm using (WF/GM/PW)... I've seen such great results with it....if I could only get rid of my excess body fat... lol
Today was an off day....tomorrow is ARMS day.... lookin forward to that...

Day 8 and 9
DAY 8:
Yesterday was Arms day... another good workout, great pumps, strength, and endurance...was able to get 3 sets on the exercises i did... cardio was 35 minutes/525 calories...
DAY 9:
Today was Shoulder day... I think I may have pulled something in my left shoulder and it hurt like crazy throughout the workout, but I prevailed. I did 3 sets on everything I wanted to, but had to go down in weight a little bit as a result of the 'injury.' It feels fine now, but when i move it around it hurts a little.... I did 35 minutes/540 calories ...
Tomorrow is CHEST day, and it will be very, very difficult... but still looking forward to it...

Day 10 and 11
Day 10: Chest
Yesterday was another great workout...benched 225 3 times for a new record for me, this is very good... also did incline, decline presses, cable flies, and chest presses. Overall a great workout, add on top of that 65 minutes of cardio and 1012 calories burned...
Day 11: Back
Today was supposed to be an off day but there were signs all over the gym this week that the gym was closed friday....only to find out today that they only meant the gymnasium was closed but not the workout room...so angry... so I did a record 255 pound deadlift today (8 reps too).... did some t-bar rows, lat pulldowns, rows... it was hard but i grinded through it. I did 45 minutes of cardio and burned 700 calories, very pleased....
Tomorrow is an OFF day, will report in for LEG day on Saturday...

Day 12
Today was LEG Day... and it was great workout. I made strength increases all around, and felt like I had good energy and stamina throughout the workout. For the first time I took a big step and changed my squats from the smith machine to the barbell. Here's what I did:
Leg Curl (machine) - 222 pounds, 12 reps, 3 sets
Leg Extension (machine) 310 pounds (the WHOLE stack) - 12 reps, 3 sets
Leg Adductor (machine) 178 pounds - 12 reps, 3 sets
Leg Abductor (machine) 154 pounds - 12 reps, 3 sets
Seated Calf Raises - 180 pounds - 12 reps, 2 sets
Calf on the Leg Press Machine - 630 x 15, 1 set
Hack Squats - 270 pounds 8 reps 3 sets
Barbell Squat - 225 x 10, 255 x 8, 245 x 8
Dumbbell Lunges - 2 40 pound DB's - 12 reps, 2 sets
Changed up cardio a little bit today...but unfortunately there was a time restriction b/c the gym closed at 7... I tried a new kind of elliptical, where you can manually determine how much of a stride you want to take... burned 400 calories in 27 minutes...so it was good, very happy...
Tomorrow is an OFF day, and will report back in Monday for ARMS day...
By the way, is there anybody out there??? I don't think anybody cares about my log anymore haha.... I know its kinda boring just reading a bunch of text, too bad I'm very computer graphics illiterate haha...

Hammer Curls - 55 DB's x 8 2 sets, 50 DB's x 7 3rd set
Barbell Bicep Curl - 85 x 9 80 x 8
Isolation Bicep Curl Machine - 132 x 6 reps x 2 sets
Pullups - 6 x 3

Isolation Tricep Machine - 144 x 10 132 x 10
Tricep Kickbacks - 40 DB's x 12 x 2, 35 x 12 x 1
That was one heck of a workout... took some time off between weights and cardio then went to the same elliptical i tried last time... got 65 minutes and 1008 calories burned, wow i feel like i'm about to pull some of my leg muscles, that was INTENSE.... was averaging about 16 calories burned/minute and 80% Heart rate...
Thanks for those who responded to my last log post. I'm looking into the text thing and hopefully I should start pimping my log out soon :-D

sorry for the lack of updates....between blue screens and stabbing sinus pains i haven't been able to get on here at all... I will update soon (hopefully!)

OK Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm back now... One week's workouts have gone by since I last updated here, and I'll give the quick hits of what I did.
Day 16 - Back Day (T-Bar Row with bar against wall and lifting on other end, 185 x 3)
Day 17 - Leg Day (Barbell Squat 255 x 8 x 3)
Day 18 - Arms Day (Barbell Bicep Curl 90 x 8 x 3)
After this day I had stabbing sinus pains and had to move Shoulder Day to Wednesday.
Day 19 - Shoulder Day (Dumbbell Overhead Press 65 DB's x 8 x 3)
I woke up today and my right arm felt dead. I had to cut today's workout (chest) extremely short and I am pissed.
Day 20 - Chest Day (Barbell Bench 230 x 5 x 2)
If my arm feels dead tomorrow again I will switch LEG day and do that tomorrow. That should give my right arm enough rest to be ready for a workout Saturday and be ready to go on Monday.
I'm sorry for slacking a little bit on this log... between blue screens, sickness, and laziness I hope this doesn't happen again... I honestly want to do a good job on this and not be blacklisted.
Whatever workout I choose to do, I will report in on SATURDAY (guaranteed)... lookin' forward to this...
