Wrist Pain?

Any of you guys experience wrist pain from lifting? I think it happened on Friday when I FINALLY did a few reps at 30# for my bicep curls. Anyways, it has been sore since and this morning after my cardio session and my ab workout on the ab slings, I became numb from the elbow down! The numbness has been going in and out this morning. I worked out arms yesterday and did not even try the 30# dumbells. I noticed my wrist made a small popping noise! I bought a wrist wrap and was wearing it. It helped, but not too much.

Do you think I should layoff for a week? I don't really want to... or I can move to lighter weights. Any advice would help.

I would move to lower weights and maybe lower reps and if you still fell pain then just lay off for some time or see someone about.

I broke my wrist when I was a kid (7 yo), and it always hurts during bb curls. I remedy this by not doing straight-bar curls, but EZ bar and db curls instead. Nothing bad with that.

The numbness may indicate that you've got something going on with a nerve. The popping is more than likely a tendon or ligament. It could be that you've strained a tendon or ligament and it's a bit swolen inside which can explain both issues. I had something like this happening in my left arm about three weeks ago. Tingling numbness would shoot from my elbow to the tip of my middle finder about half way through a DB curl. I layed off working arms for a little better than a week and it went away. If it keeps up, see a doctor.
