Who's your favorite college bball team? Let me know so I can laugh after KU kicks the **** out of them.
About to be one win down, five more to go.

LOL
There is no discounting the power of a bad night...I've been on both sides of nights like that, for KU, when everything was magic (though they STILL let UNC back in, reminiscent of the Louisville game) and for UNC, when the only way they could get a shot to fall was to stand over the bucket and drop the ball into a funnel and maybe not even then...
Enjoy it while it lasts, which is less than 48 hours now...Ongoing Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=106420991

Congratulations.
Here is my analysis, in no particular order:
*) While it swung back and forth for the first 32 minutes or so, KU was very clearly the best team in the last 2 minutes of regulation and all of overtime.
*) The first 30 minutes of the game were very poorly officiated.
*) Derrick Rose was noticeably off a step, probably from the flu or whatever he had on Sunday.
*) KU played exactly the kind of game they needed to to beat Memphis.
*) Even for all that, Memphis still put themselves in a position to win and would have, quite handily, had they made only HALF of their foul shots in the last 2 minutes of regulation. To win a championship, I think you have to play a complete game, they didn't and KU swept back in.
*) The point where I knew for sure it was over was when Brandon Rush had the breakaway in OT, missed an easy layup, got his own rebound and took another shot, all while 3 Memphis players were down there with him.
*) Memphis made a lot of mental errors and incredibly poor decisions throughout the game and were having trouble with their hands game, though part of the hands thing was due to KU.
*) The big question is did Memphis fold under pressure and I don't know the answer, but I think they at least cracked.
*) Bill Self is a (perhaps much) better coach than I probably gave him credit for earlier.Ongoing Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=106420991
