I do them on shoulder day now too after doing them on back day for about a year. I have found that they grow better now than when I was doing them on back day.

    So there ya go..

Either/or. It's a matter of personal preference. Really makes no difference.

Same goes for rear delts. I started out doing them on delt day, but I prefer doing them on midback day (I split back into separate midback/thickness and lat/width days).

And since I've done the split back day, I get enough trap stimulation from traditional deadlifts/rack pulls and rows that I don't even bother with shrug work anymore.
    Keep on hulkin'.

I won't quit till no shirt will fit.

You can do traps (or forearms, or calves) on any damn day of the week. Very resilient muscle.

    X2

I put them on arms day actually -- I don't have the energy to do them after a full back day and when I stack them with arms my forearms/grip get a great workout.

I used to do them on shoulder day.

Nowadays, it's a little on back day.

Upper traps on shoulder day, as the muscles get warmed up on other deltoid moves.

traps on shoulder or back days.

Honestly I would say don't waste your time doing a seperate lift for your traps. If you are doing Deadlifts of any kind along with most of your back work, your going to be able to develop your traps. Other wise all your really doing is causing the upper trap to overdevelop and not allowing for the lower traps to function properly.
