Week without lifting
I just had a vasectomy and the doctor says I cant lift for a week. I can walk on the tread mill so that is what I will be doing this week.
My question is, should I drop my calories this week to compensate for the lack of lifting or should I just keep them the same?

I'd drop them. No need to provide energy that isn't needed.

I heard of guys getting vascetomies so they can watch March Madness.
But yeah, like everyone said, drop the calories for this week. And when you get back in there, see how ya feel and don't go all out on the first day.

I disagree! I think you should keep your calories (though be STRICT keto and lower carbs) the same so that it will hold onto your LBM better because you aren't lifting.

common mark one week is like strategic deconditioning. hes not doing anything strenuous to catabolize.

Eat at maintenance. Gives your body a chance to regulate your hormones and reset your metabolism.

I would not mess with your calories much either. I might naturally eat less cause you are not as hungry from lifting. But your body is resting and recovring in this week off, and assuming that you work out hard, you should give it plenty of nutrients and calories to rebuild and repair.
