this new gym has no squat rack, only a smith machine. the freeweight section is small and is only limited to dumbells (which only go to 70lbs, yes weak). Its targeted towards casuals and seniors (tons of cardio equipment, machines)
anyway, i was thinking about how i am going to do legs later this week. ive never squatted with a smith machine before. is it safe to go heavy and deep with that restricted bar path? I think i can get a decent workout with dumbells and split squats, but thatll only go so far. how else can i work legs?
