Based on the fact that I can outlift him (he's not a small guy, btw), what do you think?

It's actually funny, back in the days he'd always admire how strong I was and I would always invite him to come work out with me, since he wanted to put on some muscle mass, but he'd always chicken out and just go on the elliptical. Had he actually worked out with me, he would've made some progress by now.

Well, the ones I can recall were lat pulldowns - his trainer had him do 90, I routinely do 120, and did that today, too; hanging leg raises, he could only do 3, I did 15 before I moved on; he was snatching with the Olympic bar alone and grunting like crazy, I then added a 10-lbs plate on each side and did 10 reps; tricep pushdowns, he was doing them with 30 lbs, I routinely do them with 40 and did that today, too.

Damn, why did such a weakling go out with a jacked ass woman in the first place? And vice versa.

I've gotta say, you both have the strength of a 12 year-old girl. You look much stronger based on your pic. How can you weigh 180 pounds and have such awful lifts?

I outlift a fair # of guys at the gym with those, actually, and every single woman. You haven't come across very many 12-year old girls, I suspect.


I also don't do maxes, since I train alone. Plus as I said, weight-lifting hasn't been a priority with me lately. I'm working more on endurance and plyometrics for boxing right now.

Haven't seen him since we had an ugly break-up in September (I was DEVASTATED) - he works out in the morning/daytime, and I normally work out at nights, but today I have to leave town in the afternoon, so I went earlier than normal.

He came in with his trainer as I was loading up bench press. His body hasn't changed one bit since September (I've dropped 15 lbs and my arms have gotten massive). I looked him in the eye for like 3 seconds, he stared back at me, then I looked away and went ahead with my bench pressing.

I looked like **** today (no makeup, dirty hair), so I had to compensate for it in some other way. I made a point of following him and his trainer around so that I would do every exercise they did right after him. I outlifted him on EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING! And I've barely been lifting lately, since I've been training for 5K runs and boxing.


I may not be able to get out of bed tomorrow, but it was worth it.

He kept checking me out and hung around doing pretty much nothing while I did my stretches with the headphones on, obviously waiting to talk to me, but I left without saying a word.
