I have to do a project, and I can't even think of any modern day revolutionaries/freedom fighters.
Back in the day, MLK would have been acceptable. Who can I use that is modern?
Anyone have any people? I need 10.

Probably because she was a friend of the taleban for a start.
What about the monks that protested in Burma? Or the opposition leader there who is always under house arrest or in prison (can't spell her name)
Can't you do something on how it is in the eye of the beholder whether someone is a freedom fighter? Some people think Al Qaeda are freedom fighters, and FARC. And so on. Popular revolutionaries often have militant histories. (Sinn Fein, Mandela etc)Last edited by res7426; 03-14-2008 at 07:31 AM.
